Is It My Imagination or Is The Hobby Getting More Difficult?sad_smile

It's probably me.  I admit that much - especially given how little I hobby these days.  And that's most likely the underlying culprit...

A few years ago, I had a much easier time booking appointment (especially on the spur-of-the-moment), and had an especially good track record of meeting under-the-radar and semi-pro providers, who were able to get together with a better-than-certain degree of reliability.

But I find it much-more difficult to find such companions these days.  I no longer really know where to look, CL having become incredibly risky, hit-or-miss, and generally not worth it.

Why am I writing tonight?  Because the last of my under-the-radar friends, the only one I've ever felt comfortable visiting me in my home, just canceled out at the last minute - a get together we'd set up nearly a week ago.

So, I'm a bit bummed.  More than a bit bummed, since it's been a while since I've forayed into the hobby - that, and I'm trying to stay in downtown this week, but the damned Microsoft National Convention has taken up just about every decent hotel room in DC.

Normally, I'm not so eeyoreish.  As I said, I'm just bummed...

I have the opposite experience.  I feel like more and more lovely ladies offering the full GFE experience are entering the business every day .... and we have it especially good here in the DC area, with the number of visiting beauties.

My experiences correspond with those of slm1966. There seem to be more lovely ladies on the local scene than ever before, whether they be new to the business or new to the area. With more lovely ladies there are more opportunities. Like momma always said variety is the spice of life. Life is certainly spicy in this area with all the lovely ladies to choose.

My own impression is that the nature of the DC community, as reflected on TER, has changed. Traveling ladies have a more significant presence than before. You have three or four major agencies who specialize in young, traveling providers. I recall that a few years ago, local independent providers were a larger part of the scene. You didn't have this constant flow of newbies.

In my 5 years in this hobby, I have noticed changes, as bbbmmm22 noted.

This type of mostly unregulated subcultural activities is prone to changes. Perhaps we as hobbyists could adjust. I know my hobbying habit has changed.
