Many providers ask that you think ahead (no, not THAT head) and plan in advance.  Now I, for one, am not always sure what my schedule, my energy level, or sexual itch meter will be days in advance. I'd rather plan same day encounters.  But, to see the really interesting women, one needs to inquire days ahead, usually, and set an appointment.  Well, I've been a good boy in this regard, and have gone through the planning process.  We set up a date and time; all I need is the place. Sometimes, we even do a little email flirting to get the blood up.

Despite this pre-planning, over the last several weeks, I've had at least three or four instances of the lady "forgetting" to confirm the day of and let me know where she is.  Usually, I get an "I'm sorry I fucked up" message within an hour of the appointed time; sometimes I have to send repeated messages to even get a "so sorry" admission.  Usually, it's too late to schedule something else, as most of the great providers don't take last minute appointments.  On one occasion, I'd given up on the lady and settled down with a beer in front of the TV, my libido unfulfilled, when I got the "IFU" text, asking if I could come over now.  Well, my little head reared up and said, "hell yes," and I pulled myself together for what felt more like a late night booty call than a well-planned rendezvous.

So, to the others out there -- is this happening to you on a regular basis?  My appointment requests are usually 90 minutes or longer, so I don't think I'm necessarily being thrown over for a more lucrative session.  Perhaps I'm just not always choosing the right lady (though some of the ones in the last few months have been primo).  Thoughts?

Your best bet (since you like same day appts.) is to use a reputable agency...that is why they exist. I too need at least 24-48 hours' notice, but when you only get 2 calls a week like I do, you tend not to  "forget" about them. OTOH, when you know you can fk 12 guys a week, who is worried about losing one?  

I don't know your market, but I can tell you this type of unprofessional behavior is reported around the globe, from hobbyist and provider alike.  

Yes, you could be correct about being blown off more a more lucrative offer, but that's a pretty crappy thing to do when you have a CONFIRMED appt. We would hate it if you did that to us, for a cheaper offer...and, many guys certainly do just that with touring providers.

Buy we don't have to pay for the hotel room in advance.  I lost my last ATF because she used to make me wait in the parking lot regularly. At first she would make it up to me by throwing out the mia culpas and I would forgive but not forget. The last time she kept me waiting a half hour and I just left. First she gave me this guilt trip voicemail that she just had her wisdom teeth removed and was zonked out on pain killers.  Then she started cussing me out that she spent all this money on a room and I not show up. I have not yet found a girl who could accommodate me on a whim (incall or outcall) but am searching.  

If you normally hobby last minute, I suggest that you do it through the agencies. They usually have a good selection of girls and rarely I have had bad experiences. The old Elite GFs now working under another name was a nightmare to work with, at least for me but this was the only one.

I've never heard this happening and have no idea how common it is, but couldn't you avoid this by initiating the confirmation? I generally send an email morning of or the night before depending on the time, but many times I open my email to find I've been beat to the punch.

I guess its just part of the Hobby. People bail on each other all the time I guess.

Keep looking and you'll find one that agrees with your philosophy.

find that virtually every time I schedule with an indie  *something* like this happens -- either she is late,  
or the time has to change, or the location changes, or the traffic is bad (if she is travelling to me, etc.).  I find it very frustrating.  I especially don't like that last 10-15-30 minutes of waiting, when I am on time and there and she isn't.  But I don't want to arrive late either -- old habits die hard.    

I think, though, it is just part of the business -- I don't think anyone is trying to be late, etc., or particularly irresponsible.   Just thinking about it from the providers' perspective, there is a lot to "manage."  I am impressed, actually, that most indies manage all aspects of the business as well as they do

Though this is 100% my "hobby", I run it 100% like a business and it IS a well oiled machine.  
I rarely do short notice rendezvous unless I'm touring because I want to get ready for you like a date, fresh and beautiful just for him!  

There's nothing hotter than a gentleman who has done his research, chosen ME specifically, planned and set it up like a date.  

I value his time and I want him to show me that he values mine as well- when I ink our date into my iCal, I also set a separate alert to contact/confirm the day prior and I give the gentleman a specific time to expect my call/email. Even if I'm at work, it's important that I step outside to make that call and make it ON TIME- I am accountable, just as he is accountable to be waiting for that call.

Some ladies are flaky, most of the time it's not that they don't care, maybe they are terrible with time management or they find it difficult to keep track of their schedule. I know may people like that- even friends and though I enjoy them- it can be extremely draining.  

Choose ladies who respect your time... In my opinion, "IFU" is never acceptable unless she's willing to make it up to you! Good luck

Thanks for all of the input and confirmation that it's "not just me."  But, to clarify, I don't look for last minute appointments (and I tend to shy away from agencies and prefer indies).  I'm looking for ladies who don't line them up in the hallway -- so I don't really mind planning ahead so that I know she'll focus on our time together.  I guess I was just a little frustrated of late because it seemed to happen more often lately.

I ran into a rough period a couple of years ago. A well-reviewed provider here stood me up twice. Yes, I know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. She had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to reschedule a week later. If she had offered a discount or some incentive, I probably would have been tricked a third time.
Two months later, tried to see a lady traveling to DC. Basically NCNS when I got to her hotel.  
I travel around to other markets as well. This has only happened to me here in DC.  
Just like Mona said, I plan in advance, confirm the day before, and usually the afternoon of our engagement just to make sure. I also do more extensive research.

We ll that is F*cked up! I love advanced planning so that I can plan my week and days. LOL  I simply do not forget what is going on. I honestly do not understand how someone can just forget they had plans. I am a professional and I know what is going on. It is all part of simple customer service.  

 I also understand how many cannot book ahead so same day appointments can happen as long as it is a few hours ahead and his references are also prompt in getting back to me. It is always worth a try I say.

They forget, because they book a shit load of clients in many cases. I sure as hell could not keep up with that, which is why I don't. If a provider can't manage her own business, she should hire an assistant. Not a pimp, but another FEMALE to take care of her bookings.

I have done it & the couple times that I did were a blast! Somehow, sometimes it can work, I believe. The key is, a gentleman has shown interest before hand, been verified & screened til we are both comfortable, the email flirting, we get to know each other, get excited (it is really fun, isn't it?) and if, for some reason I am free (I am not high, high volume, by choice) I have taken an appointment within an hour or even less (if im ready, hanging out at my incall). The two times that it somehow worked out that way were awesome and I have stayed in touch and seen them again, with planning. I agree with all the points you and everyone else here have made, but, in addition, my advice might be that you begin a process of getting to know someone, show your interest early on as soon as your interest is piqued by a lovely lady and, unless she is touring or leaving town soon, it can be helpful. I am not sure how other providers feel about this and I am sure some would only like to have appointments specifically made, but I have and I know these gentlemen have benefited from such a situation. I don't exactly own my calendar so planning in advance is a bit of a crap shoot.  So more often than not I'm crossing my fingers and hoping to get lucky with a same day appointment.  For obvious reasons I find myself high and dry more often than not.  But the flip side is brutal - set something up only to have to cancel because I cannot tell the boss people I'm otherwise occupied and I've most likely got one bent out of shape provider killing me over email.  Ive done it twice and learned thats the fast track to nowhere.  nor did it matter that i tried like hell to reschedule and make things square.  

In the end we've all got business to attend to.  Such is life.  But a same day appointment every now and again sure would be nice.
