I am coming down in a few weeks and was looking to stay at the phoenix park hotel or the Hyatt Regency Hotel....any suggestions? Thanks!

old-fashioned, small rooms but an Irish-like friendly hospitality then Phoenix Park.  If you're into Irish Pubs, the Phoenix Park is connected to the Dubliner, one of DC's finest.  You might take a look at the Liaison Hotel, just across the street from the Hyatt and possibly a better bargain.   They're all within a block or two of each other, Washington Court & Hotel George also nearby.  And all a 5-minutre or so walk from Union Station.

Thanks!  The phoenix seems a bit more affordable.....seems like a cool place for a pint and some fun too perhap

Go for Liaison (rooms are snug, but cool and restaurant is tops) or hotel George (very cool rooms, most are ample for fun activities)
