I alwasys tell people to check the Internet travel sites.. You have so many options and hotels have rates all over the place from day to day depending on bookings.
Using the indidvidual hotel sites can also work as their rates are sometimes less than those on the travel internet sites. If you have a specific area your interested in staying in, this method can work out well.
As to locations in the District, I would focus on DuPont Circle, Foggy Bottom and maybe Georgetown. Lots of options in each area and pretty convenient to the sites.
Oh, if your interested in ahhemm companionship, these areas will work well for outcalls.
Hope you enjoy your stay!

Looking to stay in DC for a weekend to see the sites and hopefully a lucky lady. I have never been before and was wondering about some good hotel(s). Are there any I should look into or make sure to avoid? Feel free to pm if this isn't something that should be on the public boards. Thanks in advance!

sounds like something in the Dupont Circle area should fit your needs. Plenty of good hotels..trendy restaurants & bars...lot's of nightlife.  Plus it is a good location [ due to metro] for sightseeing.  Do a search....find a couple that you like...call about security, such as needing key for elevators.  Enjoy a beautiful city and if you have some extra fun....write a review !
