True story.
My mother worked the streets of Manhattan back in the day.
She has lots of pictures of herself and some of the outfits she used to wear and I must say she looked damn good! LOL
It was not the same Manhattan as today though.
Lots of graffiti. Abandoned buildings. Trash everywhere.
She has stories for days about what used to go down back then.
She packed heat in her purse.
She also carried a pocket knife.
One of her friends was assaulted by a John so she and several of the neighborhood's working girls went looking for him. They found him alright. They beat him senseless. Left him lying in a pool of his own blood.
Real tough chicks.
Survival of the fittest.
