I am not sure if anyone saw the special on channel 32 in DC. THey stated that 1 out 4 women have Hiv/Aids in ward 8 of DC. They were saying that the Aids rate in DC is going to be like the Aids rates in 3rd nations. From what locals tell me the regular news media is not discussing it. Be safe and careful.

Do you have any statistics on Ward 5 Capitol Hill or Georgetown?
It would be nice to have the URL for a professional public health study on this so that people can read and understand, instead of seeing only 15 second sensational sound bites.
I've lived here in DC 30 years and do not even know exactly where Ward 8 is, much less would I go there for sex.

They actually posted posters about it with URL link available for local Washington DC hospital.
I think it was blue and orange lines and the poster says that every 20ieth in DC -- not Maryland or Virginia
but our own DC, is HIV positive.
I was afarid to show up to others in the train, that I was actually starring at this poster wish was posted on the wall by the doors in metro train. I think it is a good sign of our democratical society not to hide the truth but bravely face the horro and problem and fight it.
ANd just the same as I said on the other board-- there are problems in getho gangs and in white trash trailer parks gangs from Rockville ward.
go figure! I wish I could remember the URL link and post it here. But after sharing this information with local DC provider who advised me to keep silent about it -- I wanted to share with you now, after I saw brave people who wrote about it before me.
I think it is still somewhere in metro station National Archives  -- on Penn Ave, and there is URL of the hospital for official statistiques.
