Thought I'd pass on the latest HIPS info....
HIPS next volunteer orientation is going to be February 8th, from 1 - 4 pm and Feb. 10th 7-9:30 pm in D.C. (They are trying to find an office big enough near their office, which is very small. location TBA). Lots of people expressed interest in volunteering, so this is your chance. HIPS would really love to have some ladies who might have daytime or evening hours avail. to answer the hotline, etc. You can find specific information on volunteer positions at www.HIPS.org

HIPS volunteer orientations are always an interesting mix of people, so it's a safe space to be an 'interested and concerned citizen' ; )

HIPS is also looking to have a huge contingent for the March for Women's Lives on April 25th -- (you don't have to attend the training to march) We'll be marching with Choice USA and the Woodhull Foundation (a sexual freedom foundation) to give the HIPS crew some anonymity for those who want it.
