A couple of times in past month seemed fine.  Wish the ladies would go there more the traffic in Tyson's sucks.

Looking at seeing a provider in Arlington. She is well reviewed (~over 40 reviews).  It looks like this area was hot with LE activity a few months ago but am wondering if it is any better now.  From the reviews, incall seems to be at her apartment. Thoughts?

Not bad neighborhood, but it's right across the river from DC.  There are murders there occasionally and other problems because it's just a subway stop away from DC.  Tyson's is safer since no subway there yet and it's away from DC.  You need a car to get to Tysons where Arlington all you need is a subway pass.

....in the fact that you must always be aware of your surroundings.  The Metro is very safe in DC, as long as you stay in the downtown/duPont area.  I don't know what part of DC you have travel to, but I have been here over eight years, and have never had a problem.

I often travel by Metro when I have an outcall to Crystal/Pentagon City, and have never encountered a problem.

If you do not want to drive to Tyson's, take the Metro to West falls Church, and then take a taxi to the hotel.  Taxi fare is about $30. rt.

Hugs and Kisses,

It's a big commuter area, lots of professional types coming in for work during the day. It's a lot quieter/deserted in the evenings and weekends but not in an unsafe way, just in the way that a more work-oriented area feels when it isn't the workday.

I'd like to know where you're getting your murder rate statistics from - i.e. please define "occasionally" - but from 2008 through 2011, the number of murders in Arlington were 4 in 2008, 2 in 2009, 1 in 2010, and 0 (yes, zero) in 2011. I don't know that any of those murders occurred in Crystal City; my guess would be that they were more likely to have happened in South Arlington, parts of which are sketchy.

So to answer the OP, I'd feel very safe coming to Arlington from a crime/mugging standpoint. Now, if your plan is to go see a BP girl who's located at one of the cheaper motels in the area, that's a different story entirely. I think there is occasional, recurring LE activity at the Comfort Inn on Rt 50 (near Fort Belvoir). But, again, that's not Crystal City! :P
