Always made me feel a bit of strange. I like to go to those have side doors can reach elevator directly w/o passing front desk, or meet w/ my ATF or a couple of Indy I repeat many time, who I know their real names, I will then feel more like meeting my lover/girlfriend as a real boyfriend, not the temp.lover at the hour!
I hate to walk by hotel front desk, especially those 2-star, 3-star smaller hotel with only one entrance and small lobby, you then will have eye contact with front desk everytime. Of course, front desk won't do any harm or question you or stop you, it's just make me feel uncomfortable. I remember someone mentioned that he always carries a laptop to look like he is on a business trip going to a discussion/meeting. Me, sometimes I'll bring a bottle of water, I'll keep drink it while passing front desk or open up my iPhone to turn off volume/or pretend looking for other info.
Do you do anything particular when entering the hotel lobby, to act like a hotel guest, to ease feeling uncomfortable. Or, just don't worry about it since hotel front desk employee all know about this, and they just simply DON"T CARE!
I usually bring a gift, disguised in a small carry on sized bag so it looks like I belong in the hotel. It is fine going directly to the elevator, but the one time I had to wait for the girl to come get me in an elevator was the absolute longest 3 minutes I have ever experienced.
My last appointment had me wait in the lobby of a 5 star hotel, but I just sat at the bar without incident.
I am usually too focused/excited on what I am about to do to worry about a minimum wage desk clerk
They have hundreds if not thousands of people pass by every day. I don't think that the clerk working at the desk really cares. That being said, if you appear to be nervous or tensed, that automatically raises a red flag. Just be cool....be normal.
I just keep walking and look straight ahead. I used to put my cell phone to my ear and pretend I was listening, now I don't care what the front desk does
Especially when i dont know exactly where the elevator is and i have to walk in a given direction with purpose in hopes that im headed the right way. I keep my blackberry in my hand and pretend im emailing someone. i actually like when the provider goes for the hotels that have the doors to the rooms on the outside.....
I visit providers with running shoes, jogging shorts, and Tshirt. When exiting my car, I pour water over my head and neck. When entering the lobby I have gatorade in hand, tell desk clerk how dangerous my run was , and how rude drivers are in this city. When I leave her room I tell the clerk I'm risking another run. Sometimes when I come back to same hotel two weeks later, the same clerk will ask me, did I enjoy my run . If the provider is in a beach city, I carry my surfboard with me to her room.It looks like I came back for lunch or dinner. If you think I'm kidding ask my providers.
Be nice and pleasant, if a clerk looks at you smile and say hi. They don't know if you are staying there or not and most of them don't want to piss off a paying customer by questioning their right to be there. If I do get questioned I tell them I'm meeting a new client for my boss.
I say ditto to all. What I find amusing is that I can spot other guys waiting in their cars. The other day I got out at 2:15 and saw another guy get out, also. Doing the phone thing. Like him, I had just gotten the room number. Then at exactly 3:20, the same guy and I left at the same time. I'm sure he was thinking the same thing. I thought about asking him "I just got my brains fucked out; and you?"
This is exactly why I don't wait in the parking lot of the hotel. I'll wait across the street, preferably at a gas station or fast food place. It only delays me for about a minute, and gives me some piece of mind.
When I walk in, I don't even look at the desk people. I am focused on trying to walk directly to the elevators. I have never had anyone ask where I was going.
This happen to me just last week Monday, I was at M hotel in Falls Church to meet "Lindsey Lohan" at lunch hour, parked my car in garage, walked thru hall, then by front desk before I reached elevator, I saw this pretty hotel employee behind front desk looked at me and smile at me. Of course, I smiled back and said hi. An hour later I had a big smile on my face, out the elevator, saw this pretty girl again, smiling at me and said bye. I did the same.
Tuesday, my ex-ATF who officially-retired then come back as UTR called saying she was staying at the exact M hotel in Falls Church, Again, I arrived at lunch hour, parked my car, walked thru hall, then said hi and smiled at the exact same pretty hotel lady behind the front desk. One hour later, I had an even bigger smile on my face after another amazing sex with my ex-ATF. Then, smiled at this hotel lady again and said goodbye!
I think they all know, just don't care as long as we act normally!
Act like your on your phone and don't sneak around. After all, you're not doing anything wrong. Also I open my door so the guy doesn't have to knock. Just be cool bratha, be cool.
OK - I actually like to walk by a front desk in a major hotel. Do not want to go by in the small ones as they are usually kind of just cheesy.
My general guide.
1. Get on the phone as you enter the lobby - own the place. 2. Stop off and talk to the front desk - tell them you have a rockin hot date and need some protection 3. Make sure they know he room you are going to 4. Announce (repeating the room number so you do not forget) while going up on te elevator. 5. knock real loud 6. ask the maid for some extra towels on your way in. 7. waive by to the front desk 8. thank valet for keeping your car close as you were only going to be there for an hour.
I do like the others and act like I'm on the phone as I walk by. I recently started asking the provider/agency where the elevators are when I get the room number just so I don't look lost. Jd
Okay? lol I hate long convos w/ front desk on why/what i'm checking in for blah blah lol because they see i' from DC and I'm staying in arlington 3 or 4 days. eh like others have said smile and keep walking. If you look like you're doing something wrong or about to...good chances you'll look like it.
If you don't like going to hotel no matter the class you can 1. get them to come to your OR only see ladies in private homes/apartments
I work at the front desk in a pretty popular hotel in the business district. Trust me when I say no body cares when your going in to see a provider. The only times we do anything about a john or provider is when they start making a scene in public or start acting disrespectful towards the staff.

Thats what I assumed. I've always been careful when it comes to covering my tracks and everything, but as far as the Hotel Staff goes, I never worried too much about it. The first time I made an appointment, the provider told me I was her third client that day (and it was early afternoon) and I thought, well if I'm the third already, (and I'd be naive to think that my provider was the ONLY girl in the hotel providing), then the staff must see guys like me walk through all day long. I assumed if anybody was ever going to make a big deal about it, it wouldn't be the hotel staff since they see it all day long & just don't care.
This has got me wondering one thing: what would the hotel staff do when you got a call complaining: "the people in the next room are having sex every hour and are very loud"
I hate that too. But just to think about it. I travel and stay in a hotel for business or vacation all the time. I've entered a hotel and walked by the front desk in formal business suit or a t-shirt, shorts and sandals. So just pretend that you're here for a business meeting (a briefcase or shoulder bag helps) or for a vacation. It'll be just fine.
What I hate more is to walk through a hallway full of maids/cleaning staff and knock the door right next or across the room that's being cleaned.
I have to give Cindy of TGND another compliment for this matter. She always gives me clear directions to the elevator and sometimes even a way to avoid passing by the front desk.
Buy a laptop case (or use one from work) and make up a good story about you're a rep from a paper/office supply/network security company (any business you could have a casual conversation on) etc going over some numbers/presentation with a junior coworker before the big presentation with any company located in the area of the hotel. (Tysons or Rockville are the easiest but there are firms all over the DC area.

My only real problem in a hotel lobby took place several years ago in an upscale DC hotel. The lady was late in arriving and we had exchanged a few phone messages about how far behind schedule she was but I decided to stay. After I had been there about 90 minutes hotel management asked me "if they could help me'. Since the lady had not checked in and I did not know her real name I was at a loss for awhile about how to respond.
I eventually found out that there had been some pickpocketing incidents in the area and I suspect that led to the scrutiny. But since then I have never had a problem. Of course for all I know I have been watched without my knowledge.
