I look at every woman's breasts alot. What do I come off as a homo? Also whenever a woman leaves the room and walk by, turn my head and look at their rear view?

Now let me ask you. If you were sitting at a table with some dude for hoursat a time and he paid ZERO attention to your femenine endowments (captivating eyes, sultry lips or lucious full boobs). Would that make you uncomfortable?

I thought this was an excellent documentary on money, power, politics and hobbying.  The documentary was made in 2010 by director Alex Gibney.  I learned quite a few interesting things that I did not know about this situation after watching.  I watched it on Netflix.  I was just sharing information if anyone else is interested.

He is still hosting In the Arena, which airs at 8:00 PM EST on CNN. The quality of the show has improved since Kathleen Parker has left the show - at least in my opinion.  I think he would have been a great candidate for 2016 had he not been exposed.

Politics always fascinates me. You have to lie, cheat, steal....all for the greater good.

If you are looking at politics as the ends you will end up being frustrated. It's the means to achieve the greater good. It is the politics for the sake of politics that I hate.

Darling, I think we all understand the means to achieve the "greater good", however when unemployment is high ( 9%, I think), good jobs are hard to find, let alone keep, and foreclosed homes are as plentiful as  beautiful a** is on this board...I ask you, what greater good is being served?

Federal employees are on a 2 year raise freeze, but the congressmen sure get their perks..
Jus' sayin'.

I hear you, but that is the only way to do it sweetheart. All we can do is elect people and hope that they will do the  right thing for us. On the brighter side, the stock market has improved vastly from the abysmal lows of 2008. We are no longer on the brink of financial meltdown. Businesses have posted 7-8 months of gains in employment. The employment is at 9%, and while this is not something to boast, it could have been at 19%.

I think we are making progress. Not fast enough, but we will definitely get there.

Last thing we want to do now is turn over the keys to the people who drove the car in the ditch.

is driven by subtle egotism of which the politicians are usually unaware about themselves, at least at first.  A politician nearly always honestly believes that he/she is the best suited person to help lead the country/state/county whatever.  So logically it becomes imperious to do whatever it takes to keep getting re-elected, so that lesser pols won't come in and screw up the works already accomplished.  Once you start down the path that getting re-elected is the most important objective and whatever it takes to do that must be done, then come the big campaign donations from special interest groups and the whole process begins to warp away from true & honest governing and can easily descend into sleazy back-room deal making.  And negotiations with other voting members on my favorite legislation (which I think is the most important legislation of any) which require me to support their measures (which I really don't agree with but I don't think are very important) seems a small price to pay to see my personal wisdom turned into the law of the land.  And it is a slippery slope indeed and results in the governors becoming farther and farther removed from both reality and the governed they were elected to represent.  But I really do believe that few of these folks start out with malicious intent, they just suffer from huge cases of egotism where they see themselves as the only possible saviors of the true faith.  The only other explanation is to just accept that they are scalawags with no scruples, and I just don't believe that about all 535 of them (though there are doubtless some).

You use to look at Kathleen Parker's breast allot when you two were working together. Did that, by any chance have anything to do with her departure?

By the way, you can look at my boobs anytime ; )

Hey CaraSaintJames,
I just read your interesting NY thread on this subject and I hoped to hear your opinion to an overall question I had after watching this documentary?

Spitzer seemed to be doing a lot of good work as far as attempting to regulate the NY financial sector for the betterment of all US citizens and no criminal charges were ever flied against him for his hobbying activities (as is the case normally for clients of hobby agency busts, according to the documentary at least), so my question is why did Spitzer resign from his post as Governor???  The documentary even stated that many elected officials from the DC Madam bust are still in office today.

It seemed like Spitzer was onto some good work that could have softened the huge financial troubles that were looming in America.  Cheating on your wife & family is bad but leaving America hung out to dry when you knew what was going on is also bad IMHO.

I'm actually wondering if Spitzer was not caught doing something even worse than this documentary and news reports have portrayed and that's why he quit.

I mean really, Marion Barry was elected Mayor, smoked crack, went to jail, then got reelected Mayor, no quit here.  Bill Clinton got BBBJ in the White House, lied about it, he didn't quit.  Tiger was banging every provider & waitress he could find, he didn't quit his job.

Spitzer not only quit on his wife and family but he quit on the entire state he was elected by the people to serve.

I just don't understand why?  Did he answer this question in this documentary?  I don't remember.
I may have to watch again.  LOL

Thanks.
