OK... SHe does not consider herself a low class provider as she chargfes 300+ per hour... but she is also very elequent and well spoken in her e-mails so I have no reason to doubt she is legit... she just has an unreasonable screening process in my opinion...
I appreciate your comments on this actually being a legitimate process at one point but this is a ridiculous expectation in my mind.

OK... So I send an e-mail inquiry to a lady who had posted that she would be visiting later this month. A few days go by and nothing... Today I recieve an e-mail back from her with a detailed list of her services and rates along with a PDF document that turns out to be a contract for services....
In it she asked that I print, sign, scan and return the document to her before she is willing to schedule! Now... perhaps some people may have fallen off the turnip truck but I for one see this as something that unwittingly could/would bite me in the ass later!
Has anyone ever had this requested of them in the past and if so how did you handle it? I'm inclined to just sign the document "Tony the Tiger" and send it back to see if she notices. I find it hard to believe anyone would be dumb enought to sign their name to a contract that implies illegal services...
Am I nuts here or could she possibly be getting folks to actually sign the damn thing? Really just perplexed and can't tell if its nievity on her part or just pretentiousness???

...but even I know that's pure crap. Not a chance in hell. Why would she expect you to sign something that's not legally enforceable anyway? She's either off her rocker, or has ill-intentions.
I wish I could see a copy? I deal in services contracts on a daily basis. I would be courious to know the basis of damages?

I will not sign the document but signing it does not make make it a valid contract. You cannot legally contract for illegal activity.

Actually, it could be neither.
Depending upon the circumstances, many factors go into the procedures and policies that providers choose. They can be as simple as following the herd or as complex as multi-dimensional reason based upon measured results.
Without knowing the provider, the home market, and other information, all I can offer is pure speculation on what I've learned.
As you may or may not know, this industry is divided by levels. The provider experience at one level is not the same as another. This also applies to geographical areas as well.
Contracts. such as you have indicated, is an old school yellow pages procedure. To the best of my knowledge, it is only used by low priced, low end, phone book providers. I have heard there are some jurisdictions where it is infrequently used on the web however, it is not a common practice. Now, not knowing where this provider is from, I can't be anymore definitive. Based upon what you have written, it sounds like she's doing only what she knows or what was taught to her. It is possible she started out in a yellow pages operation and then went out on her own.
Unfortunately, the traditional line between web based providers and phone-book providers has been blurring and merging for years. They are simply two different universes and, as unpopular as it may make me to say so, it needs to stay that way.
Regardless, just an insight to what may be.

You do not mentioned where you found the provider? Is she well known? Does she have any reviews on TER or elsewhere? How are her ratings?
You don't have to divulge the name, but certainly can provide us more insight on this issue by giving us this information.
She is VA based and is not reviewed on TER... nor am I aware of her being reviewed anywhere else.
Have seen her posts pretty regularly on Eros over the past several months so I was inclined to seek info.

2. If she's LE = BAD SITUATION
3. Anything else = BAD SITUATION
Treat it as if it were SPAM.
If what I sign is to agree that the service that I will receive is not illegal and, even though it's unenforcible, it will make her happy, and I want to see her bad enough, I would sign it. In your particular case, she is an unreviewed and not well-known, so I might not sign it.
Had a massage encounter in Falls Church the other month where the girl had me sign a form that said I wouldn't ask for any illegal activities, etc. etc.

Its a scam. It's the same MO that a lot of the rip-off artists on Eros use. They make you sign a contract and collect the money from you upfront, then will ask you what you want to do. When you make a move they point to the contract and say that you knew you were not getting any illegal services. This one's ballsy enough to send you a contract before even meeting you.
An outcall place in NYC I worked for briefly gave me a stack of forms like the one you mentioned. The place was called wicked models and charged 600 dollars an hour, so needless to say, I wasn't swamped with appointments ( I am a normal human and not a porn star, after all). On my first day of work, I actually asked my clients to sign those forms. I think one person did. It was extremely embarrassing. Most clients I asked said "hell no!" but I just went on with the session without pressing the matter. The agency I worked for is now out of business.
I bet this girl is just making some sort of newbie mistake in judgment. She probably thinks she's keeping herself safe, when in fact, her form is useless. If her experience is like mine, everyone will refuse to sign the form and she'll realize she has to either ditch the form or go without appointments. If I were you I'd just let her know that I'd love to see her but that I'm not signing any forms.

I politely explained the situation to the lady in question and mentioned that I would love to see her buyt the contract was a no go regardless! After a few back and forths she reluctantly agreed to see me and I will report back if I indeed decide to see her!
