Probably not that unique but it was suggested to me that I ask on the regional board.

Total newbie to the hobby. I have an idea what ladies I would like to visit in the near future but I need to get verified. My situation is that I'm a stay at home dad and have no way to verify myself through a workplace but any and all other methods I would be open to.

Maybe try a different girl that is willing to take a chance . Then you will have reference for the future. Or is your house in your name ? Maybe that might help I'd you. I just saying you got take a chance the first time , then your off to the races, good luck . Hugs.from Jennifer
Note I'm not that one.
Good luck

Many seasoned Mongers who have employers dont use them for verification purposes.  Some of your options include:

1. Sign up with verification sites like P411; Date-Check, etc.

2. All ladies, no matter where they advertise, have varying methods of verifying from the extreme to a simple phone conversation with you.  Hence, simply pay your dues and make several appointments with reputable ladies who won't hold you to strict verification since your a newbie and then use them to vouch for you at your next appointment.  This will establish a history for you and then have them add you to the TER Whitelist.

And if you're LE and simply trying to set up a sting with this inquiery when could have easily visited the TER "FAQs" or "Newbie" sections and gotten these Q's answered.......I hope you step out in front of a bus traveling at say 40 MPH this weekend.

p411 has several methods of verification.

employment is one

Independently wealthy/retired can be verified with certain information.

education is another one...if you taking college courses certain information can be used.

having references of some sort

I'm sure P411 will be able to work something out with a stay at home dad. Once you get P411 find some newbie friendly girls. If you go the agency route you will have to supply similar info you used to verify yourself with P411.

I tried p411 yesterday and they basically told me I was SOL. I'll just be patient and wait my turn.

I've been able to work around it by finding a provider who is pretty liberal on the screening, but meticulous about follow-up and being a reference.  PM me if you want a name.

I don't give out my personal information for a reason.

There are ways around it, and you'll just have to resign yourself to not seeing certain ladies because they want employment info, work phone, and name

What if the gentleman is retired?  No employment of work number, then what?

Just wondering.

Low class tall. Police have jobs to do in addition to families... Clean it up. Nobody wants to get arrested but non sociopaths don't wish death on police either

....as he would have had work history, at some point.  I utilize many data bases to screen, and have found great success in verifying retired gentlemen.

....I come from a family of cops and this is the short list:

- Dad
- First Cousin
- Best Man in MY Wedding,
- 4 Buddies who attended HS with me.

So while I will give you the nod to the Bus comment being slightly over the edge.

You can give me the nod that I do not speak out of total ignorance to the fact that real police have real lives.  I know that of which I speak.

I was a pubic hair from being a cop....I was made offers from DEA, FBI and Chicago PD.  But it was my Mom who convinced to not accept the offers and take my future wife and family what she went through.  Thankfully my Dad and my Best Man made it too retirement.  Unfortunately, my Best Man's Nephew was killed in the line of duty chasing a perp on foot and was killed by being struck by a civilian in an automobile.

And there's the rub!  I grew up in Chicago.  Not a cushy job for cops.  My Dad ALWAYS lamented the waste of resources on what he lcalled "Election Crime," i.e. prostitution, gambling, unlicensed street vendors, etc..  The focus should be on the knuckle headed gang bangers, organized crime, and preventative law enforcement of serious crime vs. reactive.  Which could use some of the resources be taken up chasing hookers around the block.
I could go on-and-on with the cop stories from a COPs PERSPECTIVE but hopefully you get the picture.  Along with the picture that I'm not speaking from a total non-existent and/or misunderstanding of the cop life.  I grew up in it, around it, and almost became it.
Hence, it irks me, personally, to think LE would stoop so low as to pose as a newbie Monger on TER to infiltrate this subculture.

Granted, I should not suggest ill to the offending party.  They gotta pay their mortgage too.  For that I apologize

It's "our" money but I was active military for 10 years before I got out(honorable) and I still get VA benefits. I also earn/win money playing poker and random card games frequently. :D

Don't mix and match.  Keep it separate.  Its too big of a chunk of change to go unnoticed for long.

Just saying...

I can understand if you feel that hobby when married in general sickens you, but in this case the income of her wife belongs to the family, just as any married hobbyist who works is using the family's income for hobbying.

Besides, he said he has income.

I cringe when I see reviews that say that screening is easy, or the details on how the provider screens. I never talk about the review process except for the first couple of reviews I submitted a long time ago.

If he was LE, he was just going his job. The vice cop I know actually is a pretty nice guy.

That's the family's money. That's the point of being married.

When I was married we did not have a joint account, but that didn't matter. We never talked about whose money that was when we spent it.

You know the old saying about "assumptions"? It's a good thing you don't know my actual situation regarding my marriage or financial situation. And I would think people in this hobby would be past trying to judge somebody.
