I generally check the top 100 of the city I'm going to, choose the first 5 that are in my price range, that I find attractive and that don't have NBA policies and go from there. I'll check the discussion and ad board for that city as well, because it's possible someone that is highly reviewed but doesn't have the 20 reviews to be on the top 100 catches my eye.

IIRC, Sidney, you're in the top 100 for DC. It's possible men find you through there?

Since my return I’ve only seen those that can take my limited references, two agencies. Been denied by two agencies and two independents. I do have a former full timer who works part time now on my list to see as soon as I’m healthy again and our schedules work. I’ve seen her many times in the past, so maybe a reference. Then I may start checking the Ad board more.

I check basic reviews, details are always create expectations, I prefer to go in with no expectations. I only check the Ad Boards on rare occasions because of lack of references. Where I really do my research is here on the discussion boards. I check the discussion boards for DC and sometimes the VA to find ladies I would like to see and check out their personalities and/or attitudes and if we might be compatible. And there are a few I'd like to see from what they post.

They find want they want when they want it.

Don't be too surprised! With no recent reviews (so dropped of top list), no weekly ads, no posted ads, and no website people still manage to find their way to my inbox too.

If you want max exposure, you need to make sure you're in all the possible places, but there's something lovely about the person who happens upon you when you're not actively advertising.

These guys can act clueless, but they manage to find us when they need to

... I found myself getting contacted about certain fetishes or something along those lines from Iso's I responded to like 2-3 years ago. And I've had people link me to a really old thread. Which will sometimes have me thinking and scratching my head "how did you even find that"? Like it'll be something I forgot I even responded to.  
They have their ways LOL. I'm going to say searching board discussions, keywords in ads and sometimes just good old regular internet search.

In addition to the methods that you have identified, I also notice through a lady's board presence.  Through her comments and inputs, her personality comes out makes me research and decide whether I want to meet her or not...
