Had some technical difficulty.lol Then put on the backburner. Some of us have been getting together, we will make sure you are invited next time.

You were invited the last time - and no - that doesn't exclude you for future get together. The happy hour is dependant on schedules and location. So far there have been 2 and due to my poor planning skills only a couple have made it.

I'm open almost everyday this week with the exception of Fri. Meeting time that works for me is no later then 5 PM.

If you have any suggestions for location - please PM me, BD, or Jeop.

The Meet and Greet has yet to happen. I had hoped when we have our happy hour we could discuss this a little more - that has yet to happen, sometime about preoccupation with drinking and just getting to know each other - (more like drinking)

If we decide to have one this week, we need to settle for location no later then Tues in order to send out a few invitations. Sorry to say I'm not open for meeting people who are not active participants in our hobby and posting to the board.

I ready on the Atl board how they have elected to prescreen - that is something that should be considered for the meet and greet (if that ever happens).

The problem is location,time and money.. I was willing to front some money on the location (rooms cost) but I wasn't willing to front the other money without reimbursement. I talked to another member of the board and we had a location in VA.. Everybody hate Va so I didn't bring it up..

Hmmm - this is discussion is possibly about 2 similar subjects. I'm not sure which one Lex was referring to.

Seeing how we have had our Happy Hour BD (which Lex was invited to btw but couldn't make it). I had assumed he was referring to that.

As for the Meet and Greet. It has been suggested we meet at a restaurant bars of a nice hotel and at no cost except the tab. As long as it wasn't in my back yard I'm ok with this. The other suggestion which had been shot down only by a few was to meet at some gentlemen’s club. This works for me also. I'm sure it will never happen if we try to please all the people every time - so let’s see what others might have for suggestion and just make one happen.

Less planning - short notices - works for me - even if the only that shows is me - at least I don't miss out on that drink I offered.

...meeting a few of the regulars for a beer/coke/drink or two in a local watering hole. Not sure what up-front costs would be associated with that.

I know there have been a few last-minute,  informal ones, but I had thought a bigger-one was in the works...

The second one was on shorter notice then the first and as it was going no one was sure to make it. As it was, I met BD at his place of work and drove. Jeop wasn't able to make it. So, don't get your feelings all bunched up  - BD still wants to meet, I enjoyed meeting you, just have to find a way to plan ahead and I'm not good at that.

It was just a way to get a two-for.  Get BOTH you and bigdaddy on one shot....;}  You know how I can never resist an opportunity like that.  Problem is, it always seems to boomerang....  

 I'll catchya' at the next one, slip.  That is IF I survive my encounter with S. Jersey's Betty later on this week....

...depending on the group size...I checked out the rooms at Cada Vez on 14th street and thought that would be a fun setting...private-ish rooms and a bar/waiter...

I too am traveling until the 25th tho - am taking the kids to DisneyWorld...100,000 hotel rooms makes me think there MUST be some adult entertainment in Orlando.  Anyone got any tips for a traveler?
