Hi all,

My favorite provider is planning a tour to Wash. DC. However, she is very nervous about the hotel security issue. She would like to stay within the metro area. Georgetown or Dupont preferably.

She knows that Hilton is out of the question. You guys knows of a nice but low-profile hotel that she can see her guests without having herself and/or her guests being harassed by hotel security?

The Jury at Dupont?

I would really like her to come so please help.

FWIW, I've seen ONE touring lady who was at the DC Marriott on 21st N.W., top floor.  It was an agency, so I don't know what (if any) "security adventures" they might have encountered.

A couple of people have stayed at the Churchill above Depont Circle (sort of across Conn. Ave. from the Hilton).

Either of the Marriott's are good. Also, have her check out the Omni (my personal favorite), the lobby is huge. There are tons of conferences there, so people are always coming and going. The Latham is also nice.

Whats wrong with the Hilton?  Unless she plans on having guys running in and out of her room all day and night long, it should not be something to worry about.  I stay often at Hilton hotel... curious how a company with a daughter like Paris running around could possibly be judgemental (sorry I couldnt resist)

If there has been a new developement at Hilton that I should know about, please share at [email protected]

I recently saw a provider at the Hilton.  No problem, as far as I was concerned.

If you have the time that is why it is good to previsit a hotel and scope out the place. One big no no is to make very late appointments. Usually between 3:00pm - 8:00 pm are the best hours. SOmetimes lobbies are locked late at night (after 10:00 pm) and hotel mangement will ask what you are doing at the place.

The bigger hotels usually don't want to get sued by providers. That is why they usually igonore what is going on.

If you are driving to the place always drive around and previsit. If you are taking the metro take trip and walk around and observe.
