DC Community (and I'm sure it happens across the country) -- My true account has many positive reviews, as well as several white list verifications. The username maps nicely against my e-mail address as well as other online communities.

Someone in the DC area has tried to take advantage of that upstanding reputation and try and request appointments with providers using my TER handle.  I have received verification messages to my account from providers attempting to validate that who they were texting was indeed the account owner. I am glad that they did.  I was able to inform them that it was not me, I did not know who they were, and luckily they did not meet.

I would encourage all community members to continue their due diligence and take the extra 5 seconds to do similar actions, request a PM, etc to actually validate any "verifications."

I will be sending an e-mail to any of my whitelist providers to ensure they do not validate any e-mail addresses and phone numbers other than my own -- I do hope the ladies have blacklisted the phone number the perpetrator is utilizing.

Stay safe.

Yes, as happened to me too.
Someone called me yesterday with a dubious reference.

It has a flaw in that not all of us have access to PMs----- and the sender has no idea who has VIP status and access to PMs when they hit send. Still you are on to something here.

I apologize if I misunderstood your post.

Ladies - not all of us gents have VIP status all the time, so if you don't get a response on PM, try our email as well.  That should let you know if we are the one trying to arrange an appointment with you. Stay safe.
