Finally I got back into the gym

After about 5yrs of excuses and just being lazy, I finally got back into the gym.  At first it was hell.  I decided to take it up a notch, changed my diet and add some fitness supplements.   I stopped by my local supplement store and thought I had got a good deal with the sales they had.  Today I searched the net of what I bought and found the same products for considerably less.

My point for the gents, if you decide to use supplements.  Read up on the products and be educated.  Also check the net for prices as well

That goes for most things in life.   Many times, things are cheaper online but not always.  So if possible, I use my cell phone to try to check Amazon before I buy something.  Walmart online is also a good site to check for cheaper prices.

I just started the Insanity workout almost a week ago. It's KILLING me and now I find myself caring about what I put in my body for foods and such. I've been looking online but I think I want to hear what the knowledgeable people in the stores say, then decide. Good reminder about internet deals. Maybe you could share the site you used for the supplements?

Cheers.

Certainly understand your point Whit, but its s big assumption that the folks in GNC and the like are knowledgable. lol often times I think you gain better knowledge by doing your own research as the supplement store employees are not always the best source of info. Just my .02

but it was closer to 10 years for me.
But have lost lots of weight this year and am in great shape now.
This coincided with my entry into this hobby.
No problem with stamina now (unlike my first session back in Jan).

I'm a workout warrior type, have been since I was in the military in the late 90s, but lately, say for the past month or so, I haven't been able to muster the stamina or the time, and I feel horrible lol- I gotta get back to it, post haste, because beer bellies aren't sexy lol

Great that you have decided to get back into the gym!! That's the 3rd hardest part, though...

The hardest part is going consistently. Easy to get caught up in taking a few days off, which turns into a week, etc.

The second is the diet. Remember, you're in the gym for an hour or so. The other 23 hours you have temptation, food temptatation.

And don't ever ask a person at gnc what's best for you since most of the prople that work there look like they've never been to a gym.
