Myself, and I know there are others out there that tend to stay in the Tysons area because it is a royal pain to get to during the day. Pretty much no chance of slipping out for an hour or so for a little fun, more like three hours all together. I have only made that trip once in recent memory and that was for a very special lady that had been on my must see list for a long time. Adn the only way that worked was a 6 am session so I could get in and back to work before traffic got realy bad.
Tysons has som every nice hotels, lots of restaurants and shopping but unlike DuPont, it is not as walking friendly, car or taxi is better since it is spread out
The way I read her post, she would like advice on affordable good quality places to stay with security/discretion for all concerned. I take it she's smart and can work out the logistics herself.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who responded to my question about hotels in DC. I'm not sure when yet, but I guess Dupont Circle is the place to go.
