I would see a doctor immediately. Various things can be causing this and it very well may not be associated with the Hobby.

This could be serious so don't wait!

Been in this hobby for a little longer than a year, met a lot of pretty either indy or agencies's
Recently found out that I am gradually losing my food tasting ability, especially most of food taste like not salty enough.
Wondering if I had DATY too much the past year, or I am just getting OLD
Anyone has the same experience? Just curious :(

thanks, will see DR shortly.
However, I'm additive to this hobby too much, "Loving It"
No matter what, I'll continue seeing these fine beauties. :)

I saw something on this subject recently on one of my favorite tv shows, Royal Pains. In the show, a lady wine taster lost her sense of taste (catastrophic in her line of work) because she was pregnant. Obviously, not your circumstances.

However, I did a quick Google and found sense of taste is linked to sense of smell.

In fact, 80 to 90 percent of people who think they've lost their sense of taste haven't?they've actually lost their sense of smell. For those other 10 to 20 percent, the problem is with their taste buds, and it can be caused by (hold on to your hat?we're about to throw another sense into the mix) ear infections or middle-ear surgery. That's because a major nerve for the taste buds passes through the middle ear. These ear problems don't cause an outright loss of taste sensation, but they do cause strange tastes in your mouth. (Most taste problems reduce or distort your sense of taste. It's rare for your sense of taste to vanish completely.)
