DC has many great agencies that can provide quick screening and even quicker scheduling. I am partial towards Lisa at PrimeDC.net. She is awesome to work with. I cannot compliment her enough.

I would never call an agency I didn't research thoroughly. You may try to get pre-screened by at least one reputable agency or multiple independents before you head into an area. That way you always have someone to call in case of a cancellation or if you end up visiting the area for whatever reason.

Use the TER search menu under reviews to get to agencies. You can pu;; up all the agencies that "register" with TER for an area. If you click on the agency you'll get their profile with many (not usually all) of the ladies they have had. It's an easy way to get a feel for their level of service. BTW, some of these ganecies will not be local and not all local agencies may show up here.

Second, check the local boards. You have some history, so you shouldn't get booed too loudly (depending on the area) if you explain you're from outta town and looking for a little 411. It helps if you have done some research up front and show that you're making your own effort. Also look at the local board for agencies advertising. It's another way to do the first suggestion.

Then pre-screen with them for some short notice fun. I have had short notice luck with some local agencies, but I tend to only go with ladies I have already researched.

I find this is one of the disadvantages of out-of-town hobbying. I have been in the same situation and have just skipped it rather than try a last minute, unknown alternative. As others have pointed out, you don't have any established reputation with the local community so it's hard to come up with something of quality at the last minute. One thing to do is actively follow reviews and bookmark favorites in that community before you go. That way, you might have someone you know enough about to call at the last minute. Another thing I might try is have the provider who cancelled refer you to a friend. But generally, I would say that if you take the approach you do, then this is going to happen every once in a while and you're going to end up with blue balls.

You said that you "try to get exactly what I want" but this time you got a "a cleaned-up streetwalker". So don't try to find a replacement who wouldn't be your choice in the first place. When a provider canceled on me, I would always be happy that I have just saved some money and then take care of the business myself.

I never have a plan B. I see a provider because I want to see her in particular and not because I am horny and try to find anyone available.
