I’ve dabbled in this hobby off and on for a number of years now, and once upon a time this board fielded some really good discussion topics. Now, it seems to be a board to find a hook-up. That’s about 80% of the current content. I don’t see very much in the way of intelligent discussion these days. Is it just me, or has the meaning of the word discussion changed? Just wondering.

I think the response, or lack of ,tells you everything you need to know.  
 I've been on this board for about 14 years. And it's gone downhill  in the last few years .  
 My opinion is after the lockdown / shutdown most just moved on.  
 I generally use TER for review purposes only, and rarely check this board.

DC board was fun... DC mongers were fun..  

 
A lot of them retired due to old age.. Some died.  The board was really fun back in the day. We are talking 2004-2014 or so..  That is what I call the heyday of mongering.  

 
Now it's just a bunch of guys asking for meet ups.

2004 - 2014 were definitely the golden years. There were a lot of quality providers and overall great times and discussion board stuff. I call these the famine years. LOL!
