Did some poking around....

I had a mid-day appointment with a long time ATF today. Called her when I left home, and she said that on check-in at her hotel this morning near BWI, the receptionist was asking some very unusual questions about her stay there. She told me she was leery of the situation. 30 minutes later, halfway to the hotel, she called again and said she would have to cancel, as she was checking out, and leaving the area. She sounded really spooked. I asked what's up, and she replied that, not in her hotel, but one nearby, there was a black van, several LE, and ladies were being placed in the van for transport. Be careful out there guys and girls.

BWI has been a hot spot for some time now. Also you have to remember that it is the end of the month so they need to make their quota. Anne Arundal county is always on top of their game.

Several ladies have operated out of BWI with out any problem, but it is good that you have a lady that takes precautions.

Happy Hobbying.

I got stood up for an appointment yesterday at noon at Arundel Mills.  No call, no email no nothing.  I can only hope that she wasn't a caught up in this activity.

Apparently some low-life scum bags using teenagers have sparked a county wide effort labeled Operation Escape.

Could not find any reports about the 2 July incident mentioned here, but there are police reports of other late June arrests in Linthicum MD near BWI.  Article says LE is working with (or pressuring) hotels in Anne Arundel and monitoring websites.

While there was no specific references to what are surely higher end BWI airport hotels, caution is in order for those that hobby in that area.

if she has any details she is willing to share. Either provider only or to the general TER population.

Either directly or through you if you're willing (I'd suggest a separate throw away email account).

There was a bust on last weekend (provider and pimp). Can't give the reference to the article because it has names in it.

Naming the hotel she was at, coupled with a quick check out, will greatly narrow the search for who she is.  No way I'd expect her to do that.

The recent (few year history) says almost any hotel in that area of BWI or US 1 could be the next one they target.

Upvote for providing the link.

Often, LE posts in this forum take the form of rumors or unsubstantiated claims made by an alias. Those are useless and seem to be intended to scare or harass hobbyists - as such, they are malicious rather than useful.

In contrast, this post provides a link to an on-topic source, and deserves to be recognized for being helpful and informative.

If I interpret correctly board policy has to not post links to articles with real names.  But if you do a search on a few keywords you'll find a few recent raids. In this area they happen often.  Several recent ones seem to be trafficing oriented and not just the stray neighbor or hotel complaint.  Articles don't explicitly say that but connecting some dots and some phrases they have used hint that way.  If so it may not all be local LE playing this time, and if not then it might have some legs.

If I was looking in the DC/Balt area I would probably stay away from BWI area for a while.  Or see someone I trust enough to send her the $$ in advance, meet her at a restaurant, and come to my room together.  It'd be tough for LE to argue it was anything other than a hot tryst that way.

and yes, we are long time friends, as well as companion/hobbyist, I prefer not to name hotel names for reasons stated in above replies. She was in the hotel for less than 2 hours, so her identity could easily be surmised by curious, (LE), persons. She has a white collar job that she does not want to risk, for part time gains. If you question my veracity, I have posted many times on the P&R board, and have reviews as well. PM only, for more info.

You have to be somewhat careful confusing busts near Laurel and Rt 1 (street walker activity), which is near a major trucking station, with BWI or Hanover. They are in different counties and and neighborhoods.

The linked article in a previous post is about a human trafficker scumbag in Laurel. Apparently there was also a 19 y.o. girl who had been kidnapped. Very bad.

I am definitely hearing things from some folks about BWI and another area (I was just at one of them the day before - yikes!), but nothing confirmable.

I was only asking if there was more detail that could be shared openly or in the backchannels, or provider only.

I have heard conflicting info about the hotels and what area it was. The information leads me to believe it was the Hilton/Aloft area at BWI, but that is somewhat conjecture on my part.

Have always wondered if LE can just barge into the room while a session is underway. I guess i am trying to determine how they do these busts- decoy customers or just barge into the room obviously after being tipped off. I mean can they do that? Cos thats scary.  I m sure its not so difficult for hotel staff to come to a conclusion that a provider is staying in room- use of towels, avoid housekeeping and asking constantly for towels- not being seen outside the room et etc.

I've heard of several accounts where they pick off a suspected customer as they're leaving and grill them for info.

In all fairness though only one occurence involved a decent hotel. The other two were one of those "stupid is as stupid does" things. Outside access door where they can focus on a room and see the traffic.

And found at least three busts in the past week in the general area.

Yes they can and do barge in and they can also use decoys. They use many methods.
