I love sports. I went to the Super bowl (my third) and wanted to go the All Star game but the old ball and chain threw down the gaunlet(sp). I luv the punta but I like football/baseball/golf/basketball/tennis (I love Serena). Do anyone else out there like sports? I will never bring it up again if no one does..

I even avoided a few threads near Super Bowl time asking whether you would choose various date/sex offerings versus a ticket to the BIG game.  I was afraid my choice wouldn't be popular...lol.

I would have taken the sex offerings, I had tickets to the game. I luv baseball and will be at a few National games. Ok I will be at a lot of games, don't have to go to Balitmore any more.

Ravens, Wizards,Orioles - yes I like them all.  The only thing despicable about them is Peter Angelos!!

But you guys are fair weather fans.. The Wizards has improved a lot and I will continue to support them.. I am so happy I don't have to support the Orioles again.. Go National!!!

Oddly enough, there won't be much of it from me.  Sure, I want to keep the Orioles around.  After all, they've BEEN here since 1954.  I actually went to see a game in the first month of their existence (April).  Memorial Stadium (now demolished of course) wasn't even fully finished then.  There were many great years when the Orioles really had a FARM SYSTEM worth a hoot.

Angelos forgot about all that and tried to outmatch Steinbrenner.  Nobody is going to beat Steinbrenner at his own game.  Angelos is STILL trying it.  Case in point: Sammy Sosa.  It is obviously a move to bring in the fans; however it isn't going to return the Orioles to the playoffs.  Sure, Sosa will probably get his 40 homeruns this year and go over 600 for his career, however EVERYBODY knows that what the Orioles REALLY need is PITCHING and "home grown" talent.  There are supposedly a couple of good pitchers "in the pipeline".  We'll just have to see.

I'll probably go out to see Sosa once or twice.  However, I expect that I'll ALSO go to some Nats games for an entirely different experience from what Camden Yards has become.  Besides, their being in the National League will give an opportunity to see some teams play here that we haven't been getting to see in regular "interleague play" with the Orioles.  Wouldn't mind being there when BONDS blasts one of his big ones like 715, or 756.  When THAT happens, everybody will forget about the steroid accusations.  Besides, listening to what is being said now, even Cal Ripken took them.  What a joke!

And I'm a HUGE Eagles fan.  I've never been to a Super Bowl let alone one that my team was in, so if you had offered me 10 hot women or game tickets, I would have chosen the tickets.  No one ever accused me of being the smartest guy around but I'm loyal! :)

Ok.. I was talking shit, I would have taken the tickets and did outcall..

Well, my brother, I have begun my annual eight months of mourning now that football season is over, but it is really longer than that, since I truly love college football, and it's over sooner.  I don't like golf--but you know, no one's ever been traumatized by a golf match, or the ape-like antics of either golfers or fans, so it's starting to look better.  And yeah, I love tennis.  I prefer Venus--not for looks, but just watching her stand on the base-line and whack the living sh-- out of the ball;  wish she'd work more on her net game, though).

hebadgoat;I agree with you on Venus, she need to work on her game more. I suspect Venus has men problems and can't concentrate. More a Serena fan/Venus is too skinny..

I love sports, football and basketball especially. And if you saw the pics on my site you have seen me in the jersey of my favorite player of my favorite team. Not really a Washington DC sports fan, but I learned never downplay the home team. And it seem the Wizards are going to do quite well this year... Glad my friends and I bought in on season tix. I am in Denver right now for the All-Star activities. Baseball I am a Yanks fan. Golf: Tiger and Vijay. I like it all. Boxing, soccer, volleyball and even NASCAR. I grew up cheerleading and playing sports, and dating a whole lot of athletes.
Hell, my cell phone even has the SportsCenter theme as a ringtone. LOL

My type of girl.I wanted to go to the all star game bad but someone threaten to send the kids with me if I went. I use to live in Colorado Springs and use to go the Nuggets/Rockies/Broncos games. Denver is a great sports town.

Yeah Jeop and I have gone a few re Yanks - Red Sox and this year it's my turn to say "wait till next year". Much as I currently hate to admit it though, hockey is and always will be my passion. I've been playing and watching ice hockey since I was 6 years old.....that's a loooooong time. Still play the occasional pick-up game at Northwest in Baltimore.

Dead for now maybe but hope springs eternal! If they clean out some of the dead weight teams that don't draw (Columbus, Tampa Bay, Carolina, etc.) widen the rinks to international specs, eliminate the blue lines and institute shoot-outs to decide ties and tougher fighting penalties, they will draw fans back once they sign a CBA. Hockey when played the right way is as exciting as any other sport!

Jig; they also need to make hockey tv friendly, maybe add a camerea behind the goal. Use the yellow and blue line like football..

Eliminating the blue line would be a mistake in my opinion.  It helps set up better strategy and IMO livens up the play and gets the guys moving quicker.

As for "yellow and blue lines like football" where would you put them?  The blue line and goal line are already visible on TV; those are the only lines the games use routinely (not counting the center red line).

bikebryan; I was just making suggestion...

No worries!  I'm an avid hockey fan and have been suffering NHL withdrawl this year.  I WANT HOCKEY BACK!

The pitchers/catcher are reporting this week. Go National/Braves..

Watching.... not much.... Playing a real fan.

Im not in  DC, Im in Baltimore, but I love sports, I bleed purple and black...die hard ravens fan. I love to play basketball and love to watch the Maryland Terps. I watch some O's games and go to 5-10 a year, but not a huge baseball fan anymore. Football is what I played in high school and football is whatg I love. Btw, I also have the hots for Serena Willams, what a hottie.

B-Pop

I like the Terps, they have Duke number. I am a die hard football fan also. Serena is fine..

...have a hard time donating my money to cetain owners and players. Have always loved the O's, but don't like the thought that my ticket money and beer spending is going to Angelos. Like the Wizards, but would not go to games when they had guys like Strickland and Webber playing (or half playing). Sometimes would rather watch the game on TV and be investing my money in a beautiful young lady at the same time.

Two years ago I was in Brazil for the Marlins/Yankees series. I bet $50 on the Marlins one night and went to a bar to watch the game. Most of the ladies in the bar were working, and you will never beat the price/quality of those ladies. Was talking to one pretty young thing (19 yo with a playmates body) and told her if she headed back to watch the game in my room with me I would give her the $50 that I won, if I won. She jumped at the chance and was in my room with me for 3 hours doing everything ( 2 bbbjcim...), as the game was on in the background. Well, the Marlins lost and she seemed fine that she had lost the $50. Could not do that to her, so offered her $100 to spend the night. She stayed until noon the next day. Now, that is how I enjoy watching sports!

Except maybe for what game was on, but you can't have everything. (Pulled for the Marlins also, but not really a huge baseball fan). Now if it was the Redskins vs Dallas the dream would be complete. One question, did you really see any of the game?

My general sports comments: love the Redskins, have stuck with the Bullets (oops Wizards) for years, and have two favorite college football teams: Va Tech and whoever's playing UVA. Can't watch sporting events I care about in public, get too excited and talk to the screen.

All the stories I've heard, yours included, seem to put the US girls to shame. Just imagine this...PSE/GFE and Everything else included for a really low amount. I would love to go down their and visit.

FOdsrk - I actually did watch some of the game. Had beer in the room, at one point I was sitting back watching the game, beer n hand, while she was doing a bbbjdt. I was thinking at the time, it does not get much better than this.

Gus - the ladies are great in Brazil. You think you have just seen the prettiest girl you have ever seen and then you turn the corner and see an even prettier one. What makes it really special is that almost every lady I have been with, which is double digits for a five day trip, just love making love. I have visited alot of countries, including other latin american countries, but have never found the passion of the Brazilian ladies elsewhere.

I love the 'Skins, even though their not doing great, It can only get better with Gibbs back. Great Defense, Now we gotta get that Offense and we'll be back!! I have a feeling next year we'll be going far.

I also like Basketball, I taped the All Star Activities from last night and I'm watching them now. Slam Dunk Contest was cool. I'm glad the Wizards are doing good this year. I also love GeorgeTown, Their doing great this year too.

Boxing/Auto Racing [NOT Nascar]/Wrestling are some of my other favorites.
