Got to start somewhere you WANKER

1) Find a specific lady you are interested in
2) Plan ahead, and give her lots of notice
3) Write her a polite e-mail explaining that you are new to this, and ask what she might need to screen you
4) Give her the info she requests
5) Be understanding if the answer is no

Repeat steps 1-5 patiently until someone says yes.

6) When you do see someone, be clean, polite and accurate in the envelope. She'll probably let you use her as a reference.

Granted, the first response to your post could have been nicer, the person did have a point. And your "wanker" response doesn't help your cause here.

If you're legit, Ren'man gave you some very good advice. Someone without a review history or references needs to plan ahead. Any lady would have been taking a risk to see you last night. And you would have been taking a risk to see any lady who would.

So dropping the attitude and taking the course of action Ren'man suggested likely will yield the result you say you're seeking.
