I'm planning a trip to D.C. in mid- March.Can anyone tell me the best place ( Hotel ) to stay that is 4 to 5 star and provider friendly ?
Also, are there any 5 star providers that I should look up ?

Any hotel in Georgetown area or Dupont Circle is fine. Lot of providers have incalls there and both the areas are Metro accessible.  You can also choose Alexandria Old Town.

Once you narrow down a bunch of hotels it is advised that you call the hotel and ask them if their elevator requires a key. I have seen multiple posts in the past where that is the case, which means you will have to come down to receive the provider. It is an issue for some guys who don't want to be seen in public with 20some year old.

For actual providers/recommendations, consult the AD page or use search function, because we don't know about your likes and dislikes..

I would add Crystal CIty (in Arlington near Regan Airport) to the areas your looking at. Several quality chains have lodging there...METRO acessable too which is a plus.
Previous posters' remarks hold as to key issues. Most dont but could be a bad surprize.

There is a lot going on in DC, this coming March.  Yes, we will host typical home shows, etc, but we also have the Indie Film Fest March 6-10, CPAC March 14-16, and The NCAA Regional Finals March 28-30.  The Cherry Blossom Festival begins March 20, and runs through April 14.

  Room rates are skyrocketing.  Good luck and have fun!

PS: Yes, CPAC is across the river, but they have booked blocks of rooms in DC.
