Several weeks ago there was quite a debate about a young provider who had felt "threatened" and had directed a customer to an incorrect address.  It is not my intention to name anyone, but I have tried on several occasions to schedule an appointment with the provider.  We had set times, worked out the details and when I call to confirm, there is no response.  No return call, only apologies after the fact about not feeling well, etc.  I urged her to communicate if a problem came up, but to no avail.  Today, I called twice to confirm an afternoon appointment and no answer nor response back. Customer service is important from both sides and all I can say is I've given up on this provider and will move on.  If an appointment is scheduled, then it's only fair that the provider let the customer know that a problem has come up.  I can only assume that this provider has failed to learn the basics of good customer service.  I'm not angry, just disappointed that she could not get her act together.

I wasn't going to draw any more attention to this thread, but I've been thinking.  I have had to jump through some serious hoops to see certain providers (some popular, some paranoid, some flaky), and usually it was because I felt there was something worthwhile at the end of the obstacle course.  Most of the time it was worth it.

So call me a shill or fanboy or whatever, but this girl is worth the effort.  Three more excellent reviews just this week.

It's not worth the event when you schedule an appointment, set aside the time on your schedule and then when you call to confirm an hour ahead of time, absolutely no response, and only minimal apology.  There are too many other good providers out there who care about their clients and respond appropriately.  I don't want to hurt anyone, but my time is valuable as well.
