accepting other forms of payment than cash?

I sometimes seem to hit the ATM maximum daily withdrawal limit when booking an extended appointment and need to remember to stop by the bank before they close.

I assume CASH is going to remain the main form of payment for a while but I have to admit it's a hassle dealing with the ATM limits not to mention remembering having to stop by the bank before they close.

cash will remain king.  There is no other form of payment that protects your anonymity ...

Some banks will raise your daily withdrawal/purchase limits on your check card if you ask. If yours won't, look for another bank. State Farm has a checking account with a $750 daily withdrawal limit, which is kind of a strange number considering most ATM's deal in multiples of 20. Schwab has an account with a high withdrawal limit too.... $2000 a day I think. If you search or ask around on financial forums I'm sure you'll find even more. Now, the ATM itself might have it's own limit per transaction. I've hit the limit a couple of times but was allowed to do back to back withdrawals with no problem. Probably just depends on the ATM. Good luck!

Many ladies in various parts of the country already do accept credit cards and other forms of payment than currency (their ads will mention it).  There are also some ladies advertising who require a partial payment in advance to make an appointment, so in order to see them you must use some sort of alternative payment method, depending on what they will accept.  Alternatives can include paypal, pre-paid credit cards, gift cards and such, but anonymity suffers to varying degrees.  Cash is still the easiest for all concerned and provides the greatest amount of anonymity.  You just have to plan ahead, or increase your daily atm limit in case of unforeseen contingencies.

I've seen recent applications on my iPad for some little device and an app where anyone can accept credit cards from their iPhone!   I can admit that I was very interested in it and thought that it could maybe be useful, but in the end as ome one mentioned, cash is king.

Cash is easier, and it doesn't leave a paper trail. ;-)
