please...have the screener sign his/her name at the end of emails, or at least let the client know who they are speaking with.
This whole faking like the screener is the provider is really annoying, especially if they are flirty in the emails!! Seriously, it's such a buzz kill to be having this flirty conversation with someone over email, and when you get to the appointment and bring something up that was said over email; and they give you a blank stare...."oh...that was my assistant you were talking too". Really? Do you know your assistant is saying things like "what should I wear for you sweetie! Oh I can't wait to meet you, you sound like so much fun!! etc etc". I'm sure this has been brought up before but I have to mention it as it just happened to me again. I don't mind that ladies have assistants...I get it...what I don't like is flirting it up with some dude!!
Agreed, having a male voice call is totally creepy and weird...or having a male involved at all for that matter. Yes, have a good idea about the reality - but this is all about the fantasy.
I've lost 4 dates because the screener took too long in responding. I am talking hours before a date for one, and days for the other 3. With that, I must admit that some screeners work, but it is a little disappointing when I do see the lady to find out she has no clue about the email/PM exchanges that we have made.
For me, I would rather deal with the lady herself and not a screener. Raises her rates (another mouth to feed), means she is a high-volume provider (to afford a screener in the first place), and is deceptive when she doesn't identify herself as a screener in communication leading up to the date. Hard to build chemistry with someone you will never meet, or worse, that you do build chemistry with someone and then find out it was someone else.
In my personal experience, screeners have screwed up more dates than they arranged.
Will probably catch a lot of crap over this, especially from ladies and their screeners, but its my opinion based on 4 years in this hobby.
