A more disrete way to establish and porvide references would be to become a member of a referal site. Check out Date-Check or 411.com.

Everyone is gotta start somewhere, TER is probably your best and safest bet. Do a lot a research, unfortunately there will be some ladies that will not see you without referrences, but then there is always those that are satisfied with an employement check.
