Interested in the thoughts of both hobbyists and providers...is this thing generally about "you get what you pay for," or is it something else.

That is, with limited time, and thus a bounded rationality to my process, and assuming a relative consistency in the review of the provider her on TER, should I expect a 8/9 score from a provider offering services at $260/hr to be the same, or qualitatively different, than someone who garners the same score at a rate of $550, or $800/hr?

Your insight is appreciated.

I guess there are some guys that feel/think spending more means better service.

$$$.5 is my limit (in the DC area). Not because I cant afford it but because I have not seen any consistent return on greater investment.

I think the person has to like what they do . it doesn't matter what they charge if they hate men or the Job. The worst time i have ever had is with a high priced girl
Some women are pleasers and most aren't no matter how much you pay them the service or experiance will  suck .
I think the women has to be able to let go and be herself I cant stand the actors i want to be with girls who want to have a good time . tell me what they like  and expect to be pleased and make demands of me so both of us have a good meeting

There are some super hott girls who are higher end . for me i like down to earth normal or exotic
More $ just gets you a little hotter girl I will take a great time over looks any day of the week

Do a research for the review and find out if the girl is what you are looking for... That's always the way to do it.

I think there are many reasons how much a girl charges. Higher price girls normally see less guys.

homework and a lot of dispossable income to arrive at nirvana. You are correct about the higher end though. Narcissism can't replace someone who truely enjoys the playtime.

I don't think an increase in price means an increase in the experience or performance.  In those rare cases where I have gone ahead and dropped the big bucks for what I will call a fantasy lady, like a porn star or super high end lady, I have usually been disappointed overall. In my mind for that price I guess I expect an earth shattering, mind numbing experience and that has not been the case. It was good but not the experience of a lifetime. I have found that there is a lot of talented ladies in our area that are at a much more reasonable price level.  Case in point, would be Stevie Foxxx who started running a summer special a while ago and when I finally made a date with her I was absolutely blown away, that "I just had the best sex of my life, earth shattering, mind numbing experience" I had been looking for in the higher price ranges I found at something more affordable.  

So for me, I no longer have any desire to go see the very high priced ladies or porn stars, no when for the price of one trip to a 1K/ hour lady I can go see Stevie 4 times.

I guess what I'm saying is that after examining the reviews, I'm coming across several girls who appear to fit my criteria, one of which is a certain consistency of higher score...but there's a robust difference in price.  In that case, should I expect that the lower price means more value for money (that is, here's a girl who is giving 8/9 service for 200K-800K less) or is it that missing out on the higher price means I'm missing something qualitatively different that doesn't seem to be coming through on the reviews, which are largely play-by-play, but seldom experiential (in terms of the subtle difference, if any, in the crafting of an experience b a provider)?

Thanks for the insight on the price/volume ratio and the price/"hotness" ratio (which is a more difficult one to reconcile, in my view).  In some cases, I guess its that simple.  I also think that in some cases, its about the provider living in a city like NYC, with foolish amounts of rent to live in the 60s-80s, and hobbyists having to subsidize that, but I didn't want to rest replete in that cynical view, and wanted to be open to the possibility that maybe an experience of a different order was being offered at these higher rates I see...

i have usually been playing in the $$.5-$$$ range. i have sampled in the $$$.5-$$$$ range.

what i have found is that in the _slightly_ higher range there is less sloppiness about  practice and performance. in all cases just more fun and, thank Zeus, drama free. (i've a new review pending approval that bears this out.)

at present i am finding service better than which i cannot imagine in the range $$$-$$$.5. so i see no need to go above $$$$.

since i like long dates sampling at a higher rate is impractical.

Before I say my piece, two caveats:  1) Reviews are always the most important factor and 2) Hobbyists should always do what they enjoy most.

But I am in the hobby to enjoy the fantasy of being with a beautiful, high-end, GFE provider.  I strongly prefer an elite companion with a tasteful and enticing website.  I am turned off my providers who advertise on Craigslist, or have the generic escort-site.com website with three or four fuzzy photos.  I enjoy seeing a provider at a high-end, boutique hotel downtown instead of a generic chain motel off the Beltway.  For that reason, I always look at the VIP providers section when browsing Eros and prefer luxury agencies like Lace and Stilettos.

Some enjoy seeing a provider once a week at the $$ to $$$ rate.  I limit myself to one provider a month on average, so I can afford the higher end girls and stick to a budget.

So yes, all things equal, I prefer to see a provider in the $500 per hour range over a provider with a $200 special.

Said another way, is a $260 "8" the same as a $500 "8"?

Consumers recently rated the same wine as tasting better when they were told it was more expensive.

That implies a $500 wine may get the "8" because of the price, and the $260 wine may get the "8" because it actually deserved it.

I'm sticking with the $260 wine because it meets my taste expectations and the price is right.

I have yet to enjoy a $500 wine that is twice as good as my favorite $260 wine.
