Hello, folks - there's a new moderator in town!

Effective immediately, I will be handling the moderator duties on your active and entertaining D.C. board.  Please note that I refer to it as YOUR board, not mine -- I am only here to maintain a fair playground for all and enforce the TER posting rules.  I have included the TER message posting and ad posting guidelines below this post.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns - my mailbox is always open!

Guidelines for Posting Messages on TER Discussion Boards

- Ads and ISO posts are not allowed on the General Discussion board.

- Ads may be posted on regional boards, the Porn Stars board, or the Transsexual board.

- ISOs should be posted on the ISO board, the Porn Stars board, or the Transexual board.

- Links to other review sites are not allowed on any discussion boards.

- Before posting questions, search the FAQ for Newbies board for previously posted answers.

- Post under the related thread, rather than starting a new thread, until it falls off the first page.

- One username/alias/handle per person per thread.

- DO NOT WRITE IN ALL UPPER-CASE (turn off that Caps Lock key!).

- Detailed reviews are not allowed on the discussion boards.  It is okay to link to a review and comment.

- Bartering-related posts are not allowed on TER discussion boards.

- Discussion of delisted providers/agencies is not allowed (except for rip-offs, ROBs, etc.)

- Finding problems in reviews?  Use the "Report a Problem" button on the review to get it corrected.

Helpful information can be found on the FAQ for Newbies discussion board ( http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/messageList.asp?boardID=33 ), including links to posts about hobby abbreviations and definition of terms, tips for posting picture links and searching reviews, FAQs for reviews and whitelists, STD information, and similar material (see link below).

Do you consider 411 posts ISO's?
Are "mini" reviews considered "detailed reviews"?

TIA

411 posts:

As far as I'm concerned, 411 posts that include a link are acceptable - especially since jeop and LNQR seem to jump into almost every thread around here with some type of response, they won't sit around cluttering up the board unanswered.  ;o)  All I ask is that you search the message board for your answer before you post the question - no sense asking a question today about somebody that was already asked and answered yesterday.

Obvious shill questions (ya hear me, slip? I still remember that 'clown' comment...lol) and posts about banned/delisted providers will be removed and the poster moderated.  Some ISO-type posts may be moved to the ISO board depending upon content, so if your post disappears, check over there for responses.

Mini-reviews:

For now, I'm pulling all reviews that appear on the board, mini- or not.  Per the posting guidelines, it's okay to link to an existing review and comment, but reviews do not belong on the board - that's the whole purpose of the review database.

However, as I mentioned earlier, this is YOUR board, and I have been known to 'look the other way' regarding some 'official' policies, if there is sufficient grounds to do so.  Along these lines, I plan to put up a 'mini-review poll' post later tonight, where arguments for both sides can be presented for discussion.  I will consider a policy change after everybody has had their say.

Post editing and removals:

It appears that the previous moderating style was to remove posts (and sometimes entire threads) by pulling them into the back room, with little or no discussion of why they were suddenly mysteriously missing.

My style probably leans more towards "in your face" moderating, where most questionable posts will be left on the board (although edited) so that everyone knows the what and why of what's going on.  However, it will take me awhile to catch up with the backlog I've inherited, so expect some questionable posts to initially disappear and then later reappear in edited form.

I go away for 2 days and looks who's coming to dinner - LOL... Hey, welcome to DC.

Should I run and hide now? Geez, I didn't know my personality had that affect on people where they forgot who made that Clown comment - better talk to our Buddy BigDaddy about that one - LOL

Here is a link to his public appology.

Well, what's going to happen in the next 2 days I'm off the board? Probably give BigDaddy co-mod status - LOL

And when are you coming up here - I have a few Asian ladies I want to shill - LOL

You promised to bring them down to Atl for our pleasure.  My Daddy told me many years ago, "the post hole will be around long after the post rots away",  I am believing in that as mine will rot off waiting for you LOL   JPW

Hmm, after that Clown incident I thought it best to say away - LOL... They are all hiding in my basement.

disapointment that he keeps all the lovly Asians girls to himself(Grin)  I'm dying for one, so I have a lady coiming over with an Asian name, hope she will cure my Asian disease(grin)  Maliasia.

Detailed guidelines for posting provider ads on TER are listed below.  TER Moderators may, at their discretion and judgment, delete any ads that, in their opinion, do not follow these guidelines.

Who May Post Ads?
-  Providers must post their own ads.
-  Ads posted by other parties will be deleted (except when a lady employs someone to do her advertising and booking).
-  Ladies, do not ask guys to post ads for you—it only gets them moderated.
-  Ads and promos for providers who have been delisted or banned from TER will be removed.

When?
-  Providers may post one ad thread per 7-day period.
-  When touring, providers may also post one ad per week on the board for the city they will be visiting to announce their visit.  The dates of the visit should be included in the subject line of the ad.
-  Escort agencies may post one ad thread per 7-day period per region they serve.
-  Posts regarding contact info, availability, schedule changes, new website announcements, or new pics all count as ad posts.  Updates may be added as posts to the original thread during the 7-day period.
-  Help us keep it fair for all by reporting violations of the ad post limits to the local moderator of the board on which it appears or to Girl Next Door (head moderator).

Where?
-  Ad posts should be posted on the regional board that is closest to the area serviced.
-  Ad posts are not allowed on any national boards (General Discussion, FAQ for Newbies, Politics, or ISO), with the exception of the Porn Stars and Transsexual boards.
-  Porn Stars may advertise on the Porn Star (PS) board, and transexuals are encouraged to advertise on the Transexual (TS) board.
-  Providers may reply to ISO posts (In Search Of) on any board, provided that their reply post includes a valid link (see Link Guidelines below).

How?
-  Please do not write ads in ALL CAPS.
-  Provider ad posts (and ISO replies) must include a valid working link that goes to either your website, your TER review profile, or directly to your ad on an escort mall.  See Link Guidelines below.
-  Escort agency ad posts must include a valid working link to their own website.

Link Guidelines:
-  Your contact information must be on the web page that you link to.
-  You may not link to a provider ad that is hosted on another escort review site.
-  If you link to your own website, it needs the TER Site Reviews logo on its first or second page, or a TER banner on its first page.
-  The TER logo or banner needs to link back to TER.
-  The TER logo or banner needs to be full size and unaltered.

If you list your site with in the TER Site Reviews, you will be sent the html code that will put the logo on your site and link it automatically. The more people who click through from your website to TER, the higher on the Site Reviews your listing will appear.

By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better.  You may include your link in messages you contribute to any TER discussion board, and those messages do not count against your ad post limit. In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better.  However, please ensure that those linked messages contain meaningful, entertaining, or helpful contributions, or they will be treated as ad posts.

Now why should I listen to you..lol Welcome buddy, expecting good things from you. Now if we can import more Atlanta ladies up here.
