A friend of mine takes mace with him in cases of doubt. If she is a blatant thief,  or an obvious ripoff he takes his money back and shows the mace, but has never used it.
Dudes in politically sensitive positions or with nosy wifeys do not have that luxury.

I think you have to be really careful about handling a ripoff situation. Only once have I encountered it when I was in Phoenix which has a very bad reputation for cash and dash girls. Girl shows up at the hotel room, takes the money, gets partially undressed, gets me fully undressed and then pulls the "Oh we don't do that" crap routine on me whereupon I get up and tell her I want the money back. By this time she's getting dressed and heading for the door real fast. I step between her and the door and she says something like "Are you trying to prevent me from leaving?" and two seconds later there's a loud banging on the door. At that point I knew it was over and I was going to lose the money, but decided not to get my ass kicked so I stepped aside and let her leave and chalked it up to bad luck. The point is that if this happens to you try to get the money back and get out or get her out, but be damned careful because many of them have goons waiting for trouble or they pull a knife or gun themselves. It simply isn't worth the risk. You might be pissed off, but better to be pissed and live to fuck another day.

I am so sorry you guys have had those terrable encounters.Please beleave and do trust, there are ladies out there(yes we do exist) who love what we do and want to spend "quality time" with you. Girls like that make it harder for ladies like me, and I resent it! I saw a posting that stated one guy waits for at least 5 reviews before he goes and sees a lady....That would make it hard for me, considering most of my friends could care less about the boards...go figgure.
