Supposed to serve 6, but mostly like 2 in practice.
I love to celebrate the end of a tour (and savor fond memories) with a martini and a prime steak grilled Pittsburgh rare. What's your favorite steak house in the downtown DC area?
Jessie
My favorite;
DC chophouse and brewery is 7th between E and F
Ruth's chris and mortons are also excellent. They are chains but still great.
Bourbon Steak at the Four Seasons is good. Also you can't go wrong with Ruth's Chris at Dupont Circle.

Definitely Bobby Van's. I haven't been there in a while, but the Prime Rib on K street used to be one of the finest in the city.
Ray's is tops....above Morton's in my book
Does Ray's the Steaks still exist? I went to the location that I went to once as Ray's the Steaks and it is now Ray's Hell Burger (Obama likes to go there). They do a pretty good burger. Did Ray's the Steaks relocate?
The old location has now become Ray's Hell Burgers. Ray's The Steaks moved about 5 mins away to the 2300 block of Wilson. It Rocks.
Best Steaks around. IMH)
They use some of the trimmings from Ray's the steak for the hamburgers at Hell Burger. I have never been to Ray's the Steak, but have heard very good things about them. Based on their burgers at Hell Burger it would be worth a go.
Charlie Palmer's is amazing, as is BLT.
The Prime Rib.
My back deck....I can grill a better porterhouse than any of those places.
My mouth is watering already! Chilled martini glasses, Grey Goose, proper olives and a steak so big it's spilling over the plate. Heaven.
Jessie
ditto bdaboom, and Wegmans has some prime cuts worth their weight in gold....
101 constitution ave
This place wins hands down. Having gone to culinary School and Sommelier school. I have come to appreciate when a place goes corporate but still maintains the product, service and management to the highest level possible. It is so typical to see management start to cut corners so they can stay under budget and get a bonus at the end of the year.
It aint cheap but steakhouses (especially corporate ones) tend to be the most overpriced restaurnats along with French and high end Sushi places.

Syd

Best porterhouse I ever had.
I just love Steak Ta-Ta, and it looks like you are serving a very nice size portion.
Thank you
