If a Korean looks Japanese, there is usually a reason why.
For an alleged Professor of History (yes, I realize that is an alias) you are extremely ignorant and very wrong.
Yes, there are mixed Korean and Japanese people but that is not the reason why you may find Koreans looking Japanese, Japanese looking Korean, Koreans looking Chinese, Chinese Looking Korean, Chinese Looking Japanese.
As to East Asians, many times Koreans, Chinese and Japanese "look" like the belong to another group. I have had three Korean girlfriends and they cannot always tell by looking at a person what group they come from. The Chinese are in fact composed of a variety of ethnic, language and cultural subgroups. Chinese, Japanese and Koreans are all mongoloids. Can you tell a French from a German or Russian? Why not?
Your expertise is NOT in East Asian nor genetic blood lines. Keep you erroneous opinions to yourself please and don't pass them off as fact.
There is a website that I am not associated with that can show you just how wrong you are. Stop stereotyping! The websites shows you real individuals and then asks you if an individual is Chinese, Japanese or Korean. Asians score poorly here as well.
Yes, there are features that people may associated with peoples but they do not cover all the people in a group at all. They are generalizations.
I can usually tell if a person is from Korea by their accent while speaking English because I have been around a lot of Koreans.
Koreans and Japanese are NOT direct descendants according to genetic anthropology. Native Japanese (the indigenous population does not look Asian at all but Caucasian). The "Japanese" migrated there but not from Korea.
