Amen, brother.

Cowardice is not an excuse for hurting women.
Be a man.

It is probably best you remain behind that alias.

Rarely if ever does LE offer a deal to a hobbyist that does not include turning on the poor young lady he was either having sex with, or about to have sex with.

I would much rather take the slight slap on the wrist that comes with a misdemeanor conviction, than help put someone in jail that wasn't hurting anybody.

Lets be realistic, everyone's situation is different, so saying STFU for all is not really a smartest thing to do.  Deals are made and those who don't make deals at times are burned.

so the question is not "to be or not to be", it is "to make a deal or not make a deal!"

will be inferior to a deal brokered by an attorney.

You have the right to STFU when accosted by LE, use it.

and yes I have had "my ass on the line", thankfully I am good at taking my own advice.

LE also rarely makes a deal when they have you dead to rights, more often than not the only case they have is a confession for some guy who was shitting his pants instead of calling his attorney.

Making a bad deal is not better than making no deal at all.

I will say this again. People need to remember to STFU and get a lawyer. Claim the 5th. There are a lot of rumours and miss information going out there.

Trust me on this LE will call and say "So and so told me you said this" in the rumour mill. You don't want to get involved.

You are aware that all "deals" are not guarantees and even if you make a deal the judge can decide against it or give you a punishment at the maximum if you manage to get a lesser charge. All in all, having a lawyer do your talking is safer no matter how you look at it.

Look at it like this, if the deal was that important to them, they'd let you talk to your lawyer anyway, if they don't want you talking to your lawyer than odds are they need something to make the case work and are afraid you won't want to do it. They don't "cut deals" to be good guys.

easiersaidthandone you are either LE or stupid (or both).  There is NO reason EVER to talk to the LE.  Watch the video again and again.  If any one talks it should be your attorney.  All this "a deal is a deal" stuff is crap.  They are not making any deal with you, they are going to spin you like a tip.  Let you arttorney handle the "deal".  There is NOTHING you can do to help you situation EVER.  NEVER, NEVER TALK TO THE LE.  Respectfully decline to, that's it.

no matter what coercive tactics they try to do to get you to deal you still have constitutional rights, every Jr high schooler. coercion on their part weakens their position, IMO. if you get introuble, DO NOT, do not negotiate a deal for yourself. that is best left to an attorney anyway.

been in the presence of LE and their questions.

I understand I have the right to say nothing.
I understand I right to an attorney.

I elected to say nothing. I didn't call a laywer, I didn't call anyone. I just looked at them and said nothing, not one word. When asked if I wanted something to drink I said nothing. When asked who I was I handed them my drivers lic. When ask if the information was my current address I nodded yes. I said nothing. When asked if they could search my car I shook my heard no.

Four hours later they released me, I walked out and said nothing. I happen to be driving a car reportedly exactly like one used in a robbery, so they said.

The fact that I was at, near, leaving or entering an incall location I don't think had anything to do with the incident. Nah, just a coincendence.

If LE is talking to you they don't have the evidence. Don't say anything and I mean anything and chances are they won't have the evidence when you leave.

JL has the best advice on this post. There is no reason to respond to anything. A questioning is a probe for information. Only idiots talk, and those idiots get themselves into trouble. Forget the lawyer, just shut your mouth, unless you have a soft spine and need to get rid of a lot of money.
