I have never seen prices for different services listed ANYWHERE.

That alone should have raised red flags

I think it's a really great investigative effort and thanks for providing us that type of info.  However, I also think it's not an LE activity think.  I called the number listed, via blocked ID, and it went to voicemail for the vice unit...providing direcory info for different divisions.   So, more likely, it's someone harrassing the vice squad by posting an ad and using their number.  Imagine how annoying taking all those CL calls must be.  If that is the case, it's a great job of turning the tables!

So, with all the crime that goes on in Northern VA, basically the police have nothing to worry about on that front but internet escorting? Pretty goddamn sad. And frankly, I'm sorry, but that is blatant entrapment placing an ad like that and I hope to hell if anyone gets busted that way, they have a damn fine attorney who can make a record/note of that solicitation. I vehemently disagree with the police committing crimes to catch what they perceive as criminals. Soliciting is afterall, illegal.

LPG, what you did was really quite easy.  However, how many would have thought to do it?  Guess we all will now, especially for suspicious ads like this, and especially for craigslist.  That's one of the many reasons I stay away from that place.

Thanks so much for the heads up, Lizzy.

You can also do phone number searches for providers here to check reviews and see about whether or not the lady works for a service, rip off or otherwise. I've used google the entire three years I've been in this business and it's saved my ass a couple of times. You should ALWAYS google a phone number, and then there are public records which I also use to screen clients. Just some ideas from an old lady in the biz!! :)

Hey gang, listen to THIS "old lady in the biz".  Take it from an old fart in the hobby.  Remember, the oldest are the WISEST....~~  In my case, if you believe THAT, I will sell you jeop's bridge....

If this was placed by the LE - they are the one laughing. It's a scare straight tactic. Simple, no man power required. No one would or will be arrested for calling that number - unless you are so drunk you don't hear the voice prompts, then I think it would be helpful, spending the night in a drunk tank...

As for entrapment - you wouldn't win this case. Entrapment is basically being forced to do something illegal that you wouldn't do under ordinary circumstances.

Google has been my best friend since starting this hobby and if others aren't using it, I think they are crazy. If you have the money, you can also pay for a service that does a little deeper screening of phone numbers, names and addresses.

I am please by the work LPG has done for us. TER is a much safer place then CL. But I will admit, I am amused by the posting there and read it like the daily papers comic strip.

How can you call this illegal solicitation?  This is no different than the undercover female vice officer on the street asking if Joe StreetDude wants a date.  He agrees, money changes hands, and off the police station he goes.  This scenario has played out thousands of times and is legal - and so is this Internet version of it.

First of all, solicitation IS illegal. Whether the cops are doing it to entrap or whether an escort is doing it. I don't like that the cops have the authority to break the law to catch someone committing what they perceive as a crime.

Secondly, go do some reading on Sherriff Joe Arpaio here in Arizona. The guy broke laws left and right with his pussy posse and when push came to shove, everything was thrown out of court because the laws were broken by the police officers.

I wasn't saying the scenario hasn't been played out since the beginning of time. Obviously anyone with half a brain cell knows that. What I'm saying is, "Why is it legal for the police to break the laws to make arrests?"

Wonder if that's a picture of an actual police woman? If it is she could sure supplement her pay by providing a few session's. She look's pretty damn hot, I think I'm going to have to TOFTT, I'm going in. Anyone know a good lawyer?

Here's the legal definition of entrapment:

http://www.lectlaw.com/def/e024.htm

"A person is 'entrapped' when he is induced or persuaded by law enforcement officers or their agents to commit a crime that he had no previous intent to commit; and the law as a matter of policy forbids conviction in such a case."

So basically, anyone who solicits that ad was going to do so.  A police officer is not *convincing* them to do something they wouldn't otherwise do.  Unless, maybe, if the person were a brand spanking newbie and it was just one sweetie which pushed him over the edge... =:O

But I think they can post ads like this because they are doing so with no intent to commit an act of prostitution... only to catch anyone else with said intent.  They aren't *really* going to break the law, just using a violation of the law as temptation.

(That doesn't mean I think it's right!)

Best,
Tamara

LE has the upper hand now with the latest ruling from the Supreme Court on entrapment.

It's not what the cops "perceive as a crime."  Cops don't make the laws - society is responsible for this.  Like it or not, society in general views prostitution as an illegal act.

Why is it not legal for a cop to arrest a John for solicitation (during an undercover sting) but it is legal for them to break the speed limit to chase down a speeder?  Where do you draw the line?

If she does sessions, I'm sure she would have taken it off beforehand.  Just slip that devil in the drawer.  Perhaps it could STILL pick up the audio....

Come to think of it, my dominatrix audioed AND videoed a part of our last session.  The LOWER part.  Said she needs to masturbate when she goes to bed at home, after all the kiddies have been put to bed.  Hey, she's my domme.  How could I say NO while I'm all tied up under threat of being blindfolded and gagged???  Just one problem though, what if somebody else got their hands on that camera phone?  Guess you'll all see a part of me on the internet, soon.  Be sure to wear very deeply tinted sunglasses and turn the sound down, at the very least....
