Personally, I encourage those like the OP, who by the way has as thing for older BP women in the 100 H/H range, to indulge to their hearts content.

My thoughts when I first read the story was it gotta be BP. I started on BP and quickly realized it really wasn't the way to go for this area. No doubt there are legitimate providers on BP.
Backpage is also the main site for some cities/states and it is difficult to boycott. I think when there are other viable options, BP should be avoided.

If le finds out you are doing incall they can watch and wait. Question guys who leave. If they spill you can get busted. This has happended to providers in our area with guys they have seen before. Le will bust a person in another jursidiction get that person to spill the beans on other incalls. You can never be to carefull. Guys need to stfu and remain silent.
Any intel on how they ran the sting?

A provider that's good at her chosen profession is very good at being discreet. Obviously we all know this right? But that also means OUTSIDE of the appointment. It mentioned in the article: "Businesses request this type of pro-active approach of law enforcement to thwart illegal activity in their establishments."
If ladies weren't being flashy and ostentatious in their appearance and behavior - the suspicion would be greatly lessened by the staff and establishments that request this type of action. (And yes I do know this is just ONE aspect)
NOW - I'm NOT saying it's all the ladies fault, but use your heads ladies. A few tips I've learned that I think most ladies should already know...
Screen screen screen, VERY carefully, and don't draw unwanted attention to yourselves. Don't sit in the hotel all day, for days on end, only venturing down to the lobby to grab snacks in your pj's and full make-up. If you have to be on call bc you work for an agency, at least get dressed before venturing out. (We've all been guilty of the 3am snack run, but not in the middle of the day in your pj's) Also - there's no need to carry 2-3 phones around with you, inside the hotel. Leave one behind - you will survive for goodness sakes. =) Get a room with a fridge, and make a trip to the grocery store when you arrive. Request housekeeping on your schedule, and keep things put away while they are tidying up your room. I always like to stay in my room while housekeeping is in there, because you never know who will be snoopy. Tip housekeeping - not so much for "staying quiet", but just to be a good guest. They appreciate it, and do tend to look the other way when you do ask for extra towels (which are the equivalent to the holy grail) Also - take care of your own garbage, ie condom wrappers etc and just BE SENSIBLE!
Sorry for the rant, but when I started in this business I had an amazing provider give me a really good lesson on the dos and do nots, and I just feel that there are a lot of agency girls, and independent providers that could use a lesson.
It's okay to be beautiful and seen, but don't forget to be easily forgotten as well.
I wish I had this board and this post for tips when I first started 3 years ago. Honestly, I learned by watching these type of behaviors happen right in front of me when checking in and listening to what the maids were talking about in Spanish when they thought no one could understand what they were saying lol. First, don't see ladies that don't screen, or have a significant online presence, including multiple reputable reviews, websites, and provider reference sites such as P411, Date-Check, etc. Otherwise, keep plenty of bail handy, because LE will catch up with you eventually.
When visiting a lady, dress and act like you fit into her location. Don't wear shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops when visiting a lady staying at the Ritz Carlton. Don't wear a suit if she is staying at a hotel primarily servicing tourists. And if you don't know the hotel layout, ask her for directions to the elevators from the lobby entrance. That way you can walk with confidence from the lobby entrance to the elevators and not wander around like you are lost. In other words, don't draw attention to yourself, and hence the lady you are seeing. Act like you belong and you become the invisible man.

Put your hair up. Wear a conservative dress with flats. No cleavage. You're going for the opposite of what you striving for in private.
I just got back from Tysons corner yesterday where I didn't even finish my tour. (I work for a great and popular agency there) Instincts are meant to be used. I dress professional, stock my room so I'm not back and forth every time I need a snack or what have you. And for the last year or two I've visited the area on and off it's worked beautifully. This last trip threw me however.
1) The taxi and town car drivers are so used to what's going on they will all but come out and ask if you are a provider, mostly in a perverse manner that indicates they would like in on the action. Maybe no big deal to some but remember most of them are on first name basis with the front desk people. Of course have a story, a good one, as to why you are visiting the area. However admiration is one side of a two edge sword. The possibility of perceived rejection/denial easily sparks anger and retaliation which could be as simple as a telling comment to front desk. Then what? In Tysons the most respectful drivers don't even ask which is telling also but safe at least. My town car to the airport started asking me if I knew a Toni who he liked so much and hasn't seen in a while. Excuse me? I'm here for a wedding and how would I know a Toni? Then he tells me of another girl he adored at the Crown Plaza who front desk called LE on. "What do you mean, for drugs?" I ask knowing where this train is going. He informs me that he warned her and she slipped out the back before being arrested. I've been in his town car 3 minutes. Why is he even sharing this?
2) Because there is a pattern to what we do. After getting spooked and spending my last 3 days taking no clients and sitting in my room waiting for my flight date, I ventured into the lounge the night before flying out. I lucked out that the bar manager was loose lipped and informed me what times of year escorts are more likely around, that they alway come in, single women, alone, booked through priceline or what have you... I was in a power suit with my "normal life" work badge so he felt free to ramble and if I'm not mistaken guys who don't/can't afford to pay for it or just know they could never attain that caliber of women sound resentful. Again, that two edge sword. He talked about it with a tinge of bitterness but like it was common knowledge and my guess is in Tysons it is.
3) The first incident that threw me was a client thinking he was slick by taking the stairs though I was on the 7th floor. My room was right next to the stairwell but it so happened some hotel administration lady was checking on some cleaning lady in the hall. This guy panting and sweating already now nervously knocks on my door. I shew him in quickly but the sweat plus the nervous look of opening the door and seeing the lady in the hall, coupled with the ever so light tapping instead of an "I'm supposed to be here" knock set her off. I turned on the tv told him to shhh and said in case anything happens we know each other from blank company. I look out the peep hole and her ear is to my door. I begin to get fully dressed. As my back is turned he panics and runs...not walks...out. One hour later I checked into Crown Plaza.
4) This was the last straw and agency be damned I was done. The front desk guy at the plaza tried to flirt with me. I totally pretended not to notice and proceeded to my room. A short while later he called my room to see if it was ok (uh huh...) AND offered to be a sort of tour guide if I needed. Again politely said neither yes nor no, just that if I needed one I'd let him know. Then the texts began. I never gave this little shit my number, must have gotten it off my reservation. He text me when he was getting off work and could we hang out. I ignored this text which yes spooked me. A day later he said text that he had guessed about me and was 100% right and knew I was a provider. He had taken the time and located my ad. On top of this he sort of "forgives" that I haven't responded to his advances. Like he understands I was trying to lay low and his working for the hotel must be the ONLY reason I played not interested. I start packing stat. Luckily he's not working this day but asks me to meet up. I never responded to a single text. I left there, checked into another hotel and lay low till it was time to go home, much to the dismay of my agency.
Sorry for the LOOONG rant but you all should know what this tour has taught me, Tysons is over. Too risky, too good for too long now everyone's too familiar and getting too comfortable. I leave a ship when I see the first sing of sinking, not when everyone's killing each other over life rafts. I'll miss ya Tysons.
P.S. In order of events. Running client followed by attempted blackmail by front desk employee followed by drunk bar manager spilling beans.

Those that advertise-do you get that many hits on an ad? That's an awful lot of men showing up in 7 hours. But it seems whenever there is a bust it's really big like this-lots of arrests.
Here is the thing. These type of undercover stings takes a long time. In that period of time law enforcement can create fake profiles/pictures/fake reviews to lure the people in and then bust them. What makes any one think that this can't happen
Simple Practices-
*You are not at a brothel (I hope) SCREEN!! (HEAVILY) And that doesn't mean just the gentleman, screen his references! Find out what , who , how they are.
* Have some standards.
* NEVER double book (Or at least spread it WAY out..like morning then evening, or next day.. (don't move in, or frequent the same place (s).
* Don't look the part, ACT the part or live the part.
*Be sober, drug free and capable of conducting yourself like an upstanding citizen.
*Lastly...be genuine, discreet and have integrity.

Old habits die hard but before I check into or visit any hotel or motel I usually cruise the area and the parking lots. Doesn't matter the country or state LE,intel, and the military are usually easy to spot by their vehicles. They dont park blocks away. LE is lazy.
Do a Google search and find out what the unmarked vehicles look like in the area. Search Fed, state and local. They are going to use whatever they can get since usually prostitution stings dont get the best equipment etc. If the op his higher up the food chain they may get a newer Chevy Impala.
I am also looking for activity at the hotel/motel that may generate LE activity. If I am traveling I want a good night sleep and I dont want to be fear for my life or property.
I also check floors. Its easy to spot LE/Intel ops by whats outside the door and I have been known to knock and run. Or pay some kid at the hotel $20 to do the same.
I also check out the lobby, bar etc before I check in. Undercover LE, Intel, Military, Feds are easy to spot since they all get their suits from the same local place that has buy 2 and get one free. Escorts working are usually easy to spot too. In Tysons for example after a hard day of meetings very few professional business women are going to in the bar in shy high heels etc. Its fun to be in bar with client and play escort or civie.
To the guys and Lades as an Ex-agency owner and provider here are some quick tips.
Guys -
1. Meet her down at the hotel bar if there is one, or meet her for lunch and offer an extra $100 to take her to lunch it is not illegal to take someone to lunch and compensate their time, you can even give them the rest of the donation when you arrive and tell them its a "tip" for a wonderful lunch. Then just initiate having fun, if shes smart she will get it.
2. If she does not look like her photos as soon as she opens the door, opps, wrong room and walk away. I mean are cops using their real pics?
3, Use girls who have an incall location other then a hotel such as a town home or apt.
4. And of course accept the screening process and if you're nervous simply ask her to delete your number while you're there and watch her do it. Yes I know she can always write it down but you can still ask.
5. Do not discuss details on the phone.
6. Guys Eros ads are more pricey then BP and EVERY Lady has to provide an ID or drivers licence to put up their ad to verify they are a legal adult, so stick to Eros, plus Eros charges by the month for ads and ads run a minimum of $150 to $250 per month easily! I doubt L.E is going to go to all that trouble and Eros is NOT going to participate in helping them set people up. Also look for the new Eros seal of approval, Eros-Authenticated seal, Ladies have to take a pic with their name and date and it has to match their photos in their ads. This is a safe bet that this is a sincere provider.
7. Guys I am not saying BP does not advertise sincere Ladies, but look for Ladies with sites and other ads, do a little homework. When it comes to hotels they are doing quick busts for people not paying attention it is like catching a school of fish with poisoned meat and a net when they gather, take a minute to sniff it out before you take a bite, if it smells bad don't bother and move on. (I know that can be seen as a bad pun).
Ladies:
1. To keep yourself safe. ask for 2 references or get yourself on P411 or Datecheck or do a screening such as a background check.
2. If you're new it is ok to say you're new but take the time to invest in your advertising such as Eros and a decent site so the guys know you're real.
3. Do not discuss details over the phone.
4. Offer lunch dates at a reasonable rate in addition to your sessions. So for example you can have a 2 hour lunch and play sessions for $350 or $400, most guys will be ok with that. Or a 3 to 4 hour dinner and pay date. Make yourself more then just a wham bam provider, even if you prefer to have more reasonable rates this does not make you "cheap" so do not act cheap.
5. If you're in a hotel it is ok to leave in a morning and sneak around the side door back to your room so they think you left. Keep a lock on your bag so house keeping does not get in it. Keep your "intimate" needed things for you and your clients in the safe provided at the hotel if you want to be extra cautious. If you have candles do not leave them out, but do not put them away hot, wait for them to cool and then pack them back up. Bring your own extra towels and wash cloths about 10, you can do laundry every 2 days or take them to a dry cleaner in a morning and pick them up in an afternoon and still use the hotel towels in addition. Always dress business casual when greeting a client and seeing him out as well as when you're in the lobby, they will think you're a business Woman, if you wear glasses, wear them around hotel staff. Do not talk loud on the phone.
So you get what I am saying.

Do a google search, "who got arrested Fairfax County, Va" - read the report - both Hobbyist and Providers
are arrested in Fairfax County. On the left column of the report are the citation charges in the Virginia Code.
There is a great deal more LE activity in FFx Co than this one "bust".
The hotels in Springfield, Tyson, Herdon and Falls Church are co-operating with LE and calling
LE when they suspect a girl is "providing."
To be safe - stay out of the that County, period.
To know where FFx Co is - google - "Fairfax County, Virginia Boundary Map" - know it and avoid it.
