A couple of things.
1) Of course there are situations where women are forced into human trafficking. And of course that's terrible and I think everyone on this board would condemn such criminals and be among the first to want to lock these people up and throw away the key.
2) The fact is that most "hobbyists" actually have the utmost respect for providers and behave well. When they don't, the community is highly effective at self-regulation.
I would hate for a situation to arise where forums like this -- which I believe actually improve safety for women (and men, for that matter) become targets of law enforcement for what is essentially an unenforceable law. We're better off as a community knowing each other.
I've been to very conservative foreign countries where hobbying is legal and regulated. All the workers are regularly checked, and condoms are a must.
Law enforcement and the media always show pics of teenage girls on street corners and conflate those images with the broader provider community.
I've never seen a story in the news media like the ones I read here every day where a guy wants to celebrate his birthday or just enjoy some company and he meets up with his regular provider and everyone has a great time and no one gets hurt or robbed.
I've never read a story in the news where a provider or hobbyist help each other out outside of an appointment (i.e. moving, helping with an errand, etc where there is not sex) and it's genuinely because they've become friends.
And I've never read a story in the news media where a hobbyist calls a provider and just really want to hang out with someone at a movie, ball game, dinner, etc.
I just think the media is biased and doesn't want to look at both sides of the story.
I also think it's a really tough cop (sarcasm) who wants to bust a guy who's trying to have fun versus going into the rougher neighborhoods of DC and doing real "policing".
Sorry for the rant. I can't get PMs so please post replies here. Thanks.

I'm glad I learned to screen and didn't have anything too terrible happen when I was easily accessible by everybody. i feel bad for those who have to learn the hard way but I've tried to help girls in the past and most times it didn't turn out well. Not everybody has the best of intentions.
The potential girls for this tweet sting and guys will be in my thoughts and prayers!! we should all take this as a lesson to be as careful as possible and make sure the guys & girls we see are doing the same!
