It is ok.  No one was looking for you.  Some things never change

but I still haven't gotten a straight answer. And if stating "I'm beyond being embarassed by anything" is exhibiting the "wrong attitude" I really don't understand what you are afraid of (i.e. too much risk)

Is there some probation period or a test that must be passed in order to be un-moderated? Is the decision purely subjective.......like ice skating scoring?

Actually you should be grateful you are being moderated.  Other wise sooner or later you would post something that would probably get you banned.
