Stay indoors!

Oh, and air filters.

Hello friends,
How are you? I hope everyone is doing good.
I need an advise on how to get through this allergy season.... For some reason, my seasonal allergy has been really bad lately. I tried to take all kinds of over the counter allergy medicines but it is not getting better at all.
Sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose!!!! The worst thing is I can't even go to sleep due to my allergy...
Anyone can give me an advise on how you deal with bad allergy better??

Make some tea (2 tea bags let it sit in water for 10 to 15 minutes) with lemon juice (2 teaspoons) and honey (2 teaspoons). Use local honey if you can get it. Drink it about 1/2 hour after each meal.

Also make sure your central air filter is changed every month. When you come back in from outside wash your face to get the pollen off your face. Another idea is to use a medical mask when going outside.

Thank you so much for your detailed advice. I made a honey tea and tried three days so far and it is def. helping me when I go to sleep.
Once again thank you so much!

My main problem is the oak pollen, which peaked a week or so ago, so mine is getting better.

During the season I take a Zyrtec in the morning. On the worst days I do Flonase in the evening as well.

I tried Zyrtec, but it didn't work. But Flonase helping me to have a better sleep.
Thank you!

Apple cider vinegar, local honey, probiotics, green tea ( abundant in EGCG), Quercetin  (flavonoid that acts as a natural antihistamine that you an find in apples (w/skins), onions, grapes, dark berries, green, leafy veggies, parsley, olive oil and bee pollen).  So eat plenty of these foods or find a  supplement and a nasal rinse with a neti pot with a solution of water and saline.

I try to stay away from any kind of medications.

Yes! You are right, I usually take medicine everyday and I feel tired.
I will try this natural solution today. Hope it works for me.
Thank you~!

Re: Turbay's suggestion

One thing I've noticed is that many people do not do nasal irrigation properly and get sinus infections instead. Hence very important to learn the technique before trying.

But a very good suggestion - prefer natural remedy over drugs any day.

I only take it in the spring and it takes care of the itchy face and eyes. It can make you lose sleep the first few days. Also have to get it from the pharmacist  and show I'd because of methheads.

I took Claritin D for a while, it did work for me for a while, but not anymore....Maybe I took it for long time so maybe my Immune system is too used to it. I got to the point where I was taking two at a time(Not a good idea I think lol) but it doesn't work for me. Maybe I need to go see a doctor for prescription medicine.....or Natural way to solve my allergy problem.
Thank you for your advise.

Yes! a few guys mentioned Flonase, so I tried it.
It is def. helping to have a better sleep.
Thank You!!

Oh, and air filters.

lol yes, maybe I need to hide inside till this pollen season is gone.
I changed the air filter yesterday at my house.
Thank you~~~!

Somebody mentioned local honey, that's a very strong idea. You have to take a few teaspoons every day, and it takes a few weeks to work. So it probably won't help too much dealing with your current attacks, but it will definitely cut down on the number and severity of them in the future.
