I got an email from someone who said i would be the First Call Girl he has ever seen. I never thought of myself that way.
I AM A CALL GIRL! LOVE IT. I know i am a companion, a provider an escort and even a courtesan . I had just never heard the term before. I am a call girl. I should really be an email girl but it does not sound as sexy;-)

Haha, it’s an old fashioned term. It was used to make a distinction with street walkers or brothel gals—ie, you called to make an appointment and then arranged either an incall or outcall date. The use of the term might indicate the age of your client!

As soon as telephones began to spread out in homes and offices by the 1920s, prostitution quickly adopted it to make appointments more discreet and away from the streets, as pointed out here. Providers were soon nicknamed call girls. That tag stuck for quite some time. It was still in use in the 1970s. Thank God for the Internet.
