I wanted to alert the community about a group of women who advertise on Backpage.com that have scammed me and have been spoofing my number to call other providers in the area. If you receive a call from 202-870-3801 or get an email from [email protected], or [email protected] it is not from me as I do not contact other providers or make contact with clients except to respond to miss calls and request. These women change their names frequently but are on the Backpage site regularly. It seems there are about 6 girls working from the same number in the downtown area. With the spoofing devise they are able to disguise their voice as men. These women might try to contact other independent providers looking for an opportunity to work. I previously had a hiring ad out for co-op.
From what I have seen they are not advertising with that number on any other site. These girls have a very sick way of business and if you have experienced or have advice for me on how to handle this please contact me.
If you have received a call or email from me anytime over the last three to five days without contacting me first, I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
attached is a link that has some advice. i hope someone else can come up with something better. the advice in the link seems weak to me. the police only get interested if it leads to physical harm, it seems.
i hope you have a separate phone and e-mail account for handling personal business and that these folks don't know about them!
your story, on the surface, sounds like some folks pulling stunt to make it impossible for you to get started.
i recall you from the "suicide girls" thread back a ways. your ad is intriguing and is providing food for thought..... good luck with this.
it could mean that she is new and inexperienced following board protocols as closely as purists would like.
it could mean the post is an ad in disguise.
it could have other less happy implications as well, none of which are lost on me such as the link being an interesting kind of trap. after all.... new and no reviews....
