Sounds like she double booked and leaves people waiting. Good information might save others from wasting their time also.
OKay I just want to vent and I'm sure this has happened to others. Had a little extra time between appointments and scheduled a FBSM with a well reviewed massage only provider in the Alexandria area. I wasn't looking for FS, sometimes its nice getting a good bodyrub and this provider had really good reviews and pretty hot pictures on her website. I was looking forward to this little "lunch break". Like most, she had a two call system where she directs you to one location nearby before giving you the exact location of the incall on the second call. Up to that point things were going well. When I called to say, "I'm here", I get the voicemail. Okay, fine. I left a message. Waited about 15 minutes with no return call. I called back and left a second message letting her know that I had another obligation that day and could only wait another 5 minutes. 5 minutes pass and I'm back on the highway, expremely disappointed and pissed. I didn't have enough time to schedule with anyone else and now I will probably have to wait a week or two before I have another opportunity for a little me time. Of course, she calls me about 10 minutes later after I'm on the highway with no explanation or "I'm sorry". I just told her nevermind. I won't be calling that provider again. Please ladies remember, we are all on some type of schedule. I really didn't have a problem with her being late, that can happen with anyone. I would have simply waited if she gave me a reasonable delay of time or would have told her I couldn't wait and immediately started calling my other options if the time allowed. What bothered me was that she did not answer the call to let me know what her status was and just wasted both our times. Anyway, I just had to get that out. Everyone is late or delayed every now and then but just keep the other person informed. And that applies to the hobbyist too.
I think that would be good info to share with the community given that she didn't bother offering you an explanation.
Well, the reason I didn't name the provider was because I wanted to give her a chance to contact me but I guess if she hasn't responded by now she probably won't. I have no plans to contact her again. I wanted to be fair to her since she does have pretty good reviews and maybe this was not the norm. But I guess you're right that I should name her since this may be an on going problem that no one knows about because no ones alking.

Salma is a real nice person, but I do admit, she is very difficult to reach or get appointment with in the beginning. She did not return my call first three times. I called for one last time, she pickeed up and told me to be at this place and we went from there a very nice cute little South AAmerican girl.
Thanks for sharing. I have had my share this summer from one that I saw in the past and 2 others I had not seen before. Thank goodness for a back up plan.

I think she at least owed you an explanation. And sadly enough it will probably
happen again at some time with another provider. Try not to let it get to you too much. It also doesnt sound like she
much cares one way or another, or she would have offered you some incentive
to make it up to you. One thing Ive found is after a bad experence I usually a
a great one. Heres hoping your next one is a one to remember in a good way.
I hear a lot on this board that a provider owes one an explanation. To me, many of the the explanations -- I have no idea f the percentage -- are lies anyway. All I ask for is the wait time so that I can decide whether to stay or to leave, or go get an ice cream cone then come back later.

Perhaps GBandit can tell us who it is through a PM for those who are interested. I had the same thing happen to me from a massage provider in the Dupont Circle area about seven years ago. After booking the session, I took the Red Line to the location and walked to the hotel. My phone calls were ignored when I arrived. Ridiculous.
Apparently, she has made a habit out if this. Another member here on the TER PMed to ask me if it was so and so and he guessed correctly. I have not been her only chump. She is still in business and gets stellar reviews. She does good work...when she feels like it. If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I will reveal her identity.
It's always good to have a back-up when these things happen. If the provider leaves you hanging in the lobby, quickly call your second choice provider and try to book. This is the flip side of using an independent provider.
I don't care how many good reviews a provider have. A stood up is a stood up, esp. when she calls you back with no explanation or apologies. Good thing you left, it would have been awkward as hell continuing the session. Its her fault for her schedule conflicts or what have you, and her attitude sucks about not informing you about the situation. Post a review about her, she needs to know about the consequences of her actions. You've endured through this drama, now let her endure through your review of her, & make sure you post 1, I wanna see who is BTW. Don't be afraid to do it, you've already mentioned it here on the boards.
