I have been planning on attending various swing clubs and settings and am curious if anyone has any first hand experience.

Anyone been to any of the following?

1. The Crucible
2. Tabu
3. Entre Nous
4. Friction Parties

Crucible was heavy into BDSM, not my thing.
They also lost their Liquor license.
perhaps the new venue will be nicer.

Entre Nous seemed to cater to a younger crowd, off premise, but with after-parties.
Seemed more F-F oriented.

The DMV argueavly has more Swing Clubs both public and private than any other area in the US. There is literally a party every night of the week. Here is what I know about the clubs you have listed:

1. The Crucible: On premise, recently moved to a new location and I'm not certain if they are up and running just yet. More information can be found on their website, http://www.the-crucible.com/WIITWD.htm. Mostly BDSM but also supports the needs of your standard "lifestyler" or swinger. Before they mved they had theme parties almost weekly and standard monthly events. Looking forward to them opening their new facility.

2. Tabu: On premise with a Club atmosphere and a great time to be had by all. Kinda costly to get in and highly recommended you bring a date as you may find it hard to get some play time in as a single male unless you are "plugged in".  Go early as they close the door at 2am on fridays and 3am on saturdays.

3. Entre Nous: Normally Off Premise unless otherwise stated. Beautiful ladies and great owners who take great efforts to ensure everyone has a good time. Nostly Saturday parties only but occasionally they will have friday night events. All friday night events are on premise.

4. Friction Parties: Not familiar with what they do as I have never attended one of their events. But I have heard of them.

But there are MANY other small, local yahoo Lifestyle groups that have monthly or even weekly events. You will just have to research these clubs and websites like SLS or APG to find the 5 Ws on local parties.

I've been to Entre Nous. I like the fact that they really get into the theme parties and have a strict dress code. Plus the on premise parties are always fun.

I wouldn't say that they only cater to the younger crowd, but many people don't make it through the membership process because you have to submit a pic. Apparently they're very picky about who they let in the door.

Thanks for the feedback, but as in most things, it will be an experience best judged on a case by case basis.

I can't what do my "homework".

1. The Crucible: their old location was great.  not sure about their new place.  They used to have afternoon parties.  4pm to 10pm. perfect for someone to slip away from work early and still get home before anyone wonders where you are.

2. Tabu: they play too much hip hop. and time limits on the play rooms.  hard to talk to people for music is loud

3. Entre Nous: off premises.  no playing.  UNLESS it is an underground party.  then tons of playing.  I highly recommend the Underground parties.

4. Friction Parties: never heard of it

5. TPA: I highly recommend this place. it is fun.  lots of theme rooms.  lots playing. all around fun

6. Silk and Skin: I love this house party.  it is off the wall.  She has night time and afternoon parties.  single guys have an easier time getting into day time parties.

7. lifestyle hookup:  it is also a good house party.  lots of playing.

8. Trapeze: in atlanta and Ft Lauderdale:  I love this club.  good atmosphere.  lots of playing.

9.  FUN4TWo: amstradam.  best swing club in the world.   seriously.  theme rooms. beautiful people.  people fly in from around the world to go here.

I am an awesome date for a swing club or party.   If you have never experienced it, you should once in your life.  an experience you will never ever forget!

Does more then BDSM.  he has BDSM nights and Swinger nights.  and some nights he mixes the two.  BUT, he does have both kind of events.  He used to be only into BDSM nights but not for a few years.  Their calendar will tell you what kind of night they are having so you can decide before you show up.  Single guys are allowed to come to the afternoon delights.  BUT, they are not allowed upstairs without a single girl or a couple taking you up there.

I am looking forward to checking out their new venue.  I hope it is cool like the old venue.

Entre Nous bores me because if I find someone I want to play with, I want to do it NOW.  I dont want to have to schedule something for a later date.   Our lives are so busy and hectic these days that is just easier to met someone at a club and do something about it on the spot.

just my two cents.   Ive been a swinger since 1990 and that is how I like it done.
