I believe this could and/or has happened in many cities besides DC. I doubt this is a trend specific to our locale so to suggest this is a regular thing is presumptuous at best.
If she has been in the business for only 8 months I doubt this would be her first encounter with someone trying to take screw her over.
Regardless of whether or not this person was/is a TER member is irrelivant as there is not likely a way to prove one way or the other. I serioulsy doubt if someone were trying to get over on a lady that he would want her knowing he had a presense on the board. however, that does not mean it is not a memeber either.
In my opinion it is indeed unfortunate that this lady was taken advantage of and hope she is able to find some way of makeing things right but this falls on her for not checking before hand... I know it is not the preference to handle the busniess portion of things as it can ruin the mood but sometime it is necessary... Now if she were seeing someone who had a reputable presence here on the board and that happend I would say shame on him!!! but since she (i assume) did not have any reference as to his character I say shame on her. We live in a world where people can and do take advantage of others and it is up to each of us to be on the lookout and protect ourselves and each other.
I sympathize with the lady... believe me I do. But, the fact is that she assumed the envelope was full of cash and that was her assumption which turned out to be incorrect! We as hobbiests get screwed over on occasion too so it is just one of those risks we incurr as a result of partaking in this hobby!
Make no mistake... I am not defending this persons actions but merely pointing out that the door swings both ways! If that gentelman is indeed a Gentelman he should do what is right... But I think we all know that is not going to happen...

I just saw a TER top 100 provider today. We had a great time. After chatting for a while to get to know each better, she asked me to leave the donation on the table and counted them. Normally, I would leave the donation upfront without being asked (especially on a first visit), but quite often the provider and I hit it off so well that we soon drown in the sea of lust and completely forget about the donation until after the session is over. On this occasion, she apologized profusely but told me she had to take precaution because someone did not pay her at all a couple days ago. The scumbag left a blank envelope and she was too trusting to check. She told me this was the first time it happened to her (she has only been in this business for about eight months). She doesn't think the guy is a TER member as he didn't provide his TER handle.
Regardless, this is another black eye in the DC hobby community. I sincerely hope she will not judge us based on this single instance.
"she has only been in this business for about eight months"
If she is in the Top100 how come she is this green?
Something doesn't add up...
I would gather that she needs a little more attention to detail with her buisness... I take a shower so the provider has an opportunity to check the envelope (if she chooses of course) as I typically tip rather well off the get... this sometimes translates to a much happier time in the room if she knows I am appreciative of her service...
I have heard this does happen... however it comes with the territory, and I really don't have sympathy for her if she doesn't sound off, on the board, on her own...
First, excuse the alias. lol So glad that someone spoke up and it was from a trusted provider, not a grumpy drunk guy like myself. lmao.
I agree, how hard is it to just tell the cheap clueless bastard to go take a friggin shower and then COUNT THE DAMN MONET right there or after he came out of the shower? If he hasn't taken care of busniess by then, I'd blame it on the lady's screening method and not checking his references thoroughly.
Matter of fact I think it's best for a lady to stop seeing guys who don't take good care of them in general but it's also important to not blurr the line by seeing guys who consistently don't "take care of bizness" within the first 5 seconds or so.
Whip out the benjamins before whipping out your winky. It ain't focking rocket science.
As for "hit it off so well". Come on now, lets get over the illusion and realize this is and has always been p4p. I've seen some excellent GFE hollywood acting sessions too but guys need to remember that we're paying them for the act, lol. And every actor that I know of likes to get paid first.
Never am I under the DELUSION that she and I are in a civvy relationship where no dinero is exchanged. Actually, civvy relationships do involve $ and usually cost much more but that's for a different thread.
Besides, I wasn't asking for sympathy for her. Although you asking her to post on this board to sound off seems unrealistic. She will post it on the providers board for sure. I was talking about behaviors that prevent visiting providers from returning again.
My point of top 100 / 20 reviews / 8 months wasn't that it isn't possible...
Also posting on the "Board" means TER in either or both the provider space and the hobbiest space...
We all have seen providers posting a "Hey I go ripped off=, girls contact me for details" on this board... so I don't see this as unrealistic nor against the rules...
We are seeing more "Hobbiest" posting they hear providers say they got ripped off... that is what doesn' seem to add up.... doesn't seem to fit the pattern of incoming regular visitors...
Yes it is not good when dudes don't pay or do something else stupid in the room... However I don't think its a black eye for DC alone, it also shows how poor screening and proceedures are being kept by the providers/agencies to make this safe for everyone... The providers are just as much at fault for this... and if a provider gets ripped off more than once, they should re-think how they operate... I have no sympathy for anyone who does't check your six...
If a Visiting provider has a problem getting ripped off and doesn't want to come back, I don't want her to... as I don't want to be on the recieving end of someone who thinks DC is full of rip offs... if she wants to come back cool, if not no biggie there is a big enough sea to fish in...
I think this has become crutch for some to claim DC is a bad market and that we are somehow bad to visitors... of the 5 regular visitors I see, the three agencies I use, and the 4 indys, this never comes up in conversation... I have never heard them say they have been ripped off, most of them tell me they speak about how DC IS so good to them... Again this is not saying it doesn't happen, but I don't see this as a systemic problem here in DC alone....
To the dudes who are insulted or turned off when a lady counts the $$..." I bet you sure as hell counted it when the teller handed it to ya or the ATM coughed it out" !
....yeah yeah yeah shame on blaming the victim & I ALWAYS feel bad for ladies who get shorted OR get blank envelopes, paper left in the envelopes, card etc. But we're adults and as adults you should know better especially as providers not to put anything over ANYONE EVER (there is nice and there is for lack of better words being a little well stupid....I suck at sugarcoating). Sorry (not really), even with deep connections you can only be but so trusting (should go for hobbyists and providers). If in some way you can't verify if the donation is all there BEFORE you begin and are shorted or totally ripped off hey PART OF THE BLAME IS ON Y-O-U. It doesn't only happen to visiting ladies either.

When I saw someone (second meeting) I'd hit it off with from local group that I have great rapport with, and she came busting into the bathroom after phoning in to get donation as I was showering. I had meant to leave it, but since things were relaxed, it slipped.
But I was thinking--they know me, and know, should know--you can detect character-- I wouldn't do them wrong. So why the anxiety?
However, I believe the GUYS get shorted just as often.
How many of you guys have been rushed out at 40 minutes, been stifled by excessive 'rules', or given far less than GFE by someone whose website or ad expressly offers it? Worse, how many of us have gotten ripped off completely?
There are things we both can do to try to minimize the likelihood of getting screwed in a bad way. But it's never going to be eradicated.
Guys who do this will have a hard time getting referrals, and placed on black lists, which will keep them somewhat in check. Ladies who do this will get bad reviews and the better clients won't call them. If we both do our due diligence, we can at least keep ourselves at low risk of such shenanigans.
These situations suck. But I doubt DC is any worse than any other city on either side of the door.
