My experience with Eros has been very good, but very, very limited and a few years ago. I have stayed away since based on lots of recent information on this board.
It seems as though they were getting to be on par with BackPage as a signifier of quality and honesty (albeit with better graphics), and that deciding whether to advertise on Eros must have been a tough call for some ladies.
Is there any chance that this is just an upsell to the ladies? The verification has at least a little cost to Eros, but given what they charge, they should be able to absorb it in order to start fishing their reputation back out of the toilet. If they are charging a significant amount more, I wonder if this isn't just a new profit center they can milk for a while until they degrade that currency too.
