A question for everyone❓

I think that the reviews on TER are priceless, but more than that, I enjoy the discussion boards. Most of the ladies that I have seen (other than the scratch an itch southern MD backpage girls) have been because I liked things that they had posted on the board. I wish the board had more participation from ladies and gentlemen.  I guess the fact that I don’t really use any other site, shows that I can get everything I need from TER.

I would; however, love to see some improvements. TER has been great about making changes and attempting to stay fresh, but there are still some nice updates that could be made.

#1 – If I am reviewing a lady that already has several reviews, it would be nice, if I could click the button that says “Review this Lady”, and all of the drop downs would prepopulate, or if even some of  the drop downs would prepopulate. My reasoning for this is that no can see what I put in the drop downs if they click on my review anyway, so why have to take the time to fill them out.

#2 – I wish there could be more standardization with review scores. I understand that looks scores are going to vary by the person. Performance scores should be easier to standardize. I get tired to reading reviews where a guy gave a lady a “6” in performance, then you read the review and find out that BBBJ, DATY and multiple pops happened. How can that be a “6”? I know several years ago there were rules, or maybe they were unofficial rules about scoring performance above a 7. That is a great idea in my opinion, but there should also be rules about giving low performance scores.

#3 – I would love to see TER come up with a way to reward people for participating on the boards. It is my opinion that the boards are one of the main things that sets TER apart from many other sites. It would be great if there was a way to encourage more people to participate.

#4 – Along with the participation, I miss some of the back and forth that used to happen on the boards. They have become a little sterile, While some of the comments between Rod Tidwell, inicky46, and GaGambler were not the most mature comments, I enjoyed the back and forth banter. I don’t want to open the board and see nothing but fighting every day, but I don’t think we have to pretend to like everyone either.

#5 - I am sure there are lots of things that TER offers that I don't know about. I wish I knew about them.

I think I could come up with more, but that is enough for now

Often times I would read reviews and when the hobbyist has a horrible experience, I would be curious to hear the provider's point of view.

Also, I think it would be kind of cool if (for those of us who would volunteer), could have providers provide us with reviews. I think it would help with provider screening if they could read something on us. Might make their decision to see us a little more exciting, kind of like how we feel going to see a well reviewed provider. By "hobby reviews," I don't mean "how good was he in bed" or anything like that. Maybe something that would say "he was a gentleman," "he paid the total donation plus tip," "he bought me lunch," "he was very sensual." Of course it would only be for those that volunteer, which of course, I would do so.

From what I've seen and experienced so far, TER is the best place to go for reviews, EROS the more user friendly place to find providers, and p411 as the place to verify each other.

I would like to see those 3 services combined in one place

I wonder if there is not some of that going on the "Provider only" board. Of course, there are the references that probably contain some of that kind of information, but that is on an "as requested" basis and not a posting such as you describe. I'd volunteer, too.

Please keep in mind that I NEVER claimed to be the least bit mature. lol

As for your suggestions, while some of them do have merit. I do believe that any attempt to "standardize" reviews is futile. There is just too much that is subjective about reviews to every allow that to happen, not to mention that even if all the obligatory BBBJ's CIM's etc are given, there could still be horrible chemistry or attitude that would justify the lower number. Unless we were there, we can't really know how the session actually went.

I would probably volunteer to allow ladies to review me. I would hope that everything they had to say would be positive. Who knows, sometimes you just don't have a conection.

The problem with this is the the assholes, would never volunteer to allow the ladies to openly tell people that they are assholes. Thus, the hobbiest reviews would not be of a huge advantage to the ladies, unless they could be written on everyone.

If a lady wrote a review about a session with you, would you want to read it. I have always thought it would be interesting to read what a ladies view was of the date.

I too get tired of reviewers who score 6's and 7's yet "had a great time, one of the best this year".

Maybe TER could average all the scores of a reviewer so you could see it without having to click on all their reviews.  So when you see a '6' with average of "7.2" you know right away the guy scores low in general.

Agreed, though, my pet peeve is reading a low review and the provider went out of her way to give a good time and a shitty score is given

What irks me are the appearance scores of 9's and 10's for women who look better suited to be pouring coffee at 3 AM for drunks coming home from the bar.

As I said, and this has been discussed to death on just about every TER board, I simply disregard the numerical scores completely, as they are too subjective to have any real value to me. I look primarily at the "are the photos real" and the "are the photos accurate" I read her profile to see what's on the menu, and then I read a few of her latest reviews mainly to get a sense of her attitude, and forget all about the numbers, unless of course she scores consistently low. in that case I simply pass on her and go to the next lady on my list.

It is almost universally rejected here and a complete disaster on boards where it's been tried.

It would make for some interesting train wrecks here though, if you are into that type of thing that is. Have you ever seen some of the train wrecks that happen when some disgruntled hooker comes on her regional board complaining about a "fake" review and then goes BSC when she doesn't get enough White Knights to support her. It can be quite entertaining to watch someone have a complete meltdown over an 8-8 review. lmao

This would be a problem for me. Since I am stuck in Southern MD a great deal of the time, I see a few (too many probalby) ladies from Backpage, who venture down to southern MD. These ladies are rarely GFE and rarely get more than a 7 from me on performance.

If you averaged all of those 7's in with the 8's and 9's I have given out for the GFE appointments that I much prefer, but can only enjoy on occassion.  Thus, my average scores would seem lower than they really are.

I think reviews should be based on a standard session time - I feel bad for ladies who have great reviews for longer sessions then someone gives them a lower score and when you read the review you see that the chief complaint was a "rushed" 30 minute session.  The other would be to remove the criteria for ratings above a 7 and just let that be the subjective opinion of the reviewer.  I've seen plenty who provide. Great experience, but simply because they don't offer certain acts (or I don't ask if they do) the score I can give is capped.  With TER and sufficient reviews, I don't see providers who don't show potential for the experience I seek so going in I expect a high score, but since I don't care about anal or BBBJCIM I usually don't even ask for them, and unless their reviews or website indicate it's offered, the score is capped even though I had a great time.

I was having this discussion just the other day with a provider who was complaining about her 7s. A 7 is a good score, or at least it's supposed to be. To wit: hot time. GaG is right on about the biggest problem being score inflation. When I review a solid provider I often struggle with whether or not I should inflate her by a point just because the practice is so prevalent.

Review inflation is a lot like nuclear proliferation, come to think of it.

Since the scale only goes to 10 and those 10's are now handed out to any woman with a pulse, what do you do when some woman REALLY knocks your socks off?  You can't score her a 10+ so her score is cheapened by all the guys too cowardly, or with too little standards to grade a little more judiciously.

I will say, although I rarely factor in the numerical scores, I do give more credence to a "hard" grader who gives an 8 than I do a guy with no standards who gives a 10, especially if he gives a ten to every woman that he sees. I hate to bring up the Turdster, but he is a perfect example, he has given every woman he has ever reviewed a 10 for performance, the only reason his last review is lower is that by his own admission her menu doesn't qualify her for a 10 so he gave her the highest score he could. Does giving out a 10 to every single woman you see do anything for the guys relying on the reviews to make decisions on who to see? Or for that matter, do they even benefit the ladies receiving the 10's? I say no to both. Those kind of reviews and reviewers are a complete waste of bandwidth IMO.

Just remember that for every girl that has the scratch and business savvy to hire a professional photographer and website designer, there are ten trying to eke out a living on Backpage.

Ever watch a minor league baseball game? Same principle.

Of course, TER. All my $ comes from TER :) What would make it better? IDK, reviews I could write about my clients? Oh boy, could I write some reviews! They would be almost all really good ones, by the way.

I also like Date Check -- one of the pros of Date Check is the place where a client can list his preferences, and another pro I can see who he has seen, which is helpful if he is the kind of guy who does not write reviews. And a lot of guys do not write reviews!

I have heard good things about p411 but they had so many requirements for personal info, I got a little spooked by that. Should I give it a whirl?

If you limit the number of 10s to no more than 10% or some other set percentage of your total number of reviews, then those 10s may mean something.

Not only to the guys that like to give out 10's, but to the women that have been gaming the system for years.

I still like the idea though. lol

I love P411, I book all my appointments through their site.
Almost no complaint at all (only small quibble is that I'd like to see "real or implants" as an explicit box for a provider to check, so I don't have to cross check against a TER profile or reviews to figure this out).

TER is great for reviews of course, but I agree with the other poster who suggested prepopulated fields would be helpful.
Also, I wish they weren't so sensitive about the mentioning of other sites.  Hey TER, you are the King of the Hill! - worrying about this sems a bit silly to me...  One thing I'd really like to see is a polling feature, as I've seen on other message boards.  "Polls" that are just posts with replies aren't really polls.  So many interesting questions that could be asked about this hobby and what clients and providers REALLY think.  Anonymous tabulated results would be great, and you could have polls that end up with hundreds of respondents.

I guess BP girls are playing in double A or even single A ball and CL girls are playing in one of those independent leagues, where no one really ever makes it to the pros.

I am not knocking BP girls. Without BP, I would never get a date closer than an hour from home. I have found some real diamond in the rough. I just wish most of the diamonds in the rough didn’t disappear so quickly

It seems like the only true way you can get a good determination from the number system is to compare how someone rated other ladies. Because of rating inflation, I pretty much start at a 7. If there is something special about the date, or the lady, then the scores will go up from there. If there is something jacked up about the appoitment or lady, then the scores will go down from there.

Maybe I should be doing it differently, but I have been doing it this way for 49 (2 written and not approved yet) reviews. To change now would change the way the everyone viewed all the reviews before the change.

I think providers should have an opportunity to make some kind of comment on the clients they see---wouldn't object to a "providers only" section of comments on P411. As long as I have an OK from someone I don't really need to see additional commentary about myself--but I think it would give providers additional information to make them even more comfortable. I know---you'll all say "that's what references are for" but as we all know not all reference requests are responded to in a timely fashion. Having a comments section on clients just gives providers another tool to work with and potentially further expedites the screening and booking process.

Experience has proven it leads to nothing but train wreck after train wreck, and while I am a guy who thrives on train wrecks, some of them are actually harmful to a site, not to mention a ladies business.

That said, it can be entertaining to see a woman's true colors come out when "defending" herself against a bad review. Some can control themselves and actually defend themselves without coming across as a man hating, manipulative cunt. Others, not so much. They go out just like the Wicked Witch of the West, in a complete meltdown like BSC Taylor is famous for. lmao
