We have some of the finest restaurants in the country here in the DC area, rivaling New York, New Orleans and San Francisco. How come providers both local and visiting want 3 to 4 times their hourly rate for a dinner date? I know time is money but would these gals really prefer over priced room service or dinning alone at their own expense? Why not just charge a little extra and not worry about the time spent since we all have to eat some time anyway. As for agencies if they would allow their gals a little more freedom I'm sure it would improve retention of these valuable assets.

Indys have the option of no rate for food time, and I've often taken a babe to dinner for free after a wild tryst.
Agencies however are not so flexible.
Agencies should offer for each night a dinner date of 2 hours for the price of one, all inclusive.
DC has numerous great restaurants.
Paying to take someone to dinner is offensive to any guy who has had a normal dating life.

You are paying for the lady's time so whether she spends, for instance, 4 hours in private with you or 2 in a restaurant and 2 hours private, it has still been 4 hours of her time.  Even when she is eating at a restaurant she is still working.  Not every guy she sees will make for a charming dinner companion but she will always be expected to be one!

At home in London I don't offer dinner date rates and often go to dinner with clients, they pay the same rate as they would if we were in private the whole time.  

During my US tour I decided to offer dinner dates because I will be travelling alone a lot of the time and thought it would be good to eat with somebody rather than on my own most nights.  I didn't think that would happen so much at full rates but with a dinner date rate it's proving popular.
