Today is the 49th anniversary of an event that shocked the nation.


Nit to put a damper on things but in the midst of getting ready for black Friday and watching football  we need to remember this too.   This is the first year I have heard no mention of it.  I guess the 50th anniversary will be different.

Thanks for the reminder ... wow that was a huge event in my life as a youngster, and you're right, it had not even crossed my mind this year ... and this is the first year I recall "not remembering". I toured the Texas School
Book Depository Museum for the first time this past August. I was hoping that might bring me some semblance of closure at last. Maybe it did.
