I saw this in the General Discussion forum and thought it would be interisting to find out the DC area stats.

I will go first.

I see one of my (3) regulars early in the week and the new girl of the week later in the week. So twice is pretty mych all I can afford per week.

I had a previous account that I used. I had over 80 reviews. I quit hobbying for some time bacause I had a girlfriend and tried to make it workout  with her. Once we split up I returned to the hobby scene.

I am in no hurry to try out all the new providers like some guys here. For the most part I just stick to the ones that I like and return to see them at least once per month. I have a rotation but it also depends on what mood I am in.

I wish I had the spare cash the rest of you have. When I was younger and had less obligations I enjoyed swing clubs and couples more than escorts. Yes its nice to get laid on short notice but the escort routine was not as satisfying as making a girl scream for real.  I admit it does hurt to have to pass up some of the girls.

I find it fascinating that people can claim 3x a week which works out to about $15k a year. Do people REALLY have that much spare cash to spend on a hobby like this?

And the more prolific hobbiests can spend $25-100k or more annually!  In a weak economy, it's mindblowing how much spare change people have!

That would assume people are making perhaps $500 or more per year and spending 25% or more of their net income on this hobby just seems inconcievable!

Consider that, for many, this is an addiction and common sense and financial planning for the hobby can get over ruled by the cock.  Not saying anyone on this post has an addiction per say - just making a point.

I hobby when I can.  Times are rough...maybe not for everyone....but I'll speak for myself.  I am more of the once a month.  Which can easily account for 4K of my salary.  May not be much to others but I like to look at that on a larger scale. Needless to say I skipped last month.

Since I am not working and have some cash that was left to me. I can hobby for now at this pace. I know that soon the well will run dry and I will have to return to the trenches of the workforce.

I put money, love and hobbying all in the same group. The group that you are supposed to enjoy when you have the chance. These things wont be available all the time so take advantage of it when you can.

another interesting factor is how long of an appointment everyone usually does in DC...

Most people in the hobby make over 100K. Many guys did not start to hobby until they were in their 40's. Don't be surprised if guys have at lead 50K or more in the bank in addition to investments. Also many guys are retired military. They work for government contractors making 200K a year. With they military retirement they can easily spend $1500/month on the hobby.

Assuming the 3 times a week are hour appointments, with most rates around here $250-300, you get 3x52 weeksx250-300 = $39-46,800 a year.
